  • LeRoy Bell & His Only Friends' Davis Martin.

  • He needs to work on grip and wrist movement instead of arms...

  • I played this Video in the morning thinking its some solo like Dave Weckl, Vinne and Steve Gadd did in the past... but my wife woke up with these noices and blasted me... She is not allowing me to practice on my drums there after... Dude what did I do to you... why did you post this video without Noise reduction... My Dog kept barking whole day thinking that someone is there in the house...

  • Mr. Martin obviously wasn't trained properly in the correct foot technique for beginning drumming. Shame!

  • @spider336699 Angel, been a professional for 34 years now. People in this country especially have no respect for knowledge and for some reason feel the need to reinvent the wheel. Not interested. Notice that drummers; most, can play with brushes, can't play dynamically, start out with match grip, refuse to learn the rudiments, and most importantly fail to realize that there's no need to copy other drummers. The only thing musicians need to copy is disciplined and regimented practice.....

  • @spider336699 ............If one makes the attempt to 'master' the basics and correctly they will find out something that was in front of them the whole time and now the drummers that you supposedly admire now comes into a different light of understanding. for example learning to play the bass drum 'heel down' first! Had that been preserved there would be no such term as 'kick drum'. and if you knew the history behind and the bass drum and who invented the pedal the correct approach............

  • @spider336699 ..............would be more palatable and your progress learning the instrument and mastering the techniques would progress geometrically!

  • @spider336699 Correction, most drummers can't play with brushes. And there are 12 basic stokes!

  • can you fix your kit so bad sounds so fucking loose

  • what is the music in the start?

  • Thank you :)

  • the blue set sounds like shit

  • @taticalsniper1 all the sets in that place suck. but its so awesome. I <3 SDSG

  • Man David you are a great teacher.

  • the gay in white make me aggressive

  • If only all children were as rhythmically competent as Mark Fendle.

    I love thses guys

  • hey i just started learning drums, i started out counting, but found when i didnt i could progress alot better, ive been playing guitar for years and i recon ive got a good sense of timing but, but am i suposed to count allways or just in practice or what? thanks for any help.

  • Counting is very important for proper growth. Keep practicing in a way that is comfortable for you most of the time, but then make sure you ALWAYS pull yourself out of your comfort zone as well. Try 80% comfortable, 20% uncomfortable. Let me know if you'd like further clarification.

  • A combination of counting and feeling is how I play, you can feel and count together in a way you will learn to feel your rythem at some point counting is a good way to check yourself after you have already become fully comfortable. Learn the 40 standard rudiments you can say a word that sounds just like the rudiment so that you can always remember each one this is a numonic device that serves as a form of counting.

  • Im still kinda confused as to what the stead beat yall are doing at first..

    1> highhat,bass

    2>highhat

    3>highhat, snare

    4>highhat
