@ShaunieceCooks .. you should be able to find it at your local supermarket .. sometimes its hidden in the asian section (if you have an asian section) .. otherwise should be with the other sauces! :)
Learnt something new: cornflour for get the marinade to cover the meat and speed up the infusion. Stir fry on the menu this week. If my hubby will let me in the kitchen!
I just made this dish and it was very good, thanks! Although, I didn't hear you say corn and used regular flour, but it seemed to work out in the end. Next time, I will try the corn flour.
@timetrader57 .. I'm glad you liked it. Sorry I said cornflour at the beginning but didn't later in the vid. The only reason I used cornflour is because it thickens up to make a creamy gravy like sauce with the stock. Plain flour would be just as good :)
I make this with chicken and out off all four of us. Only one dose not like it! That would by my picky eater. I need to make it with beef!! Hubby would like it better! Thanks for sharing!!
looks yummy! i'm an asian, and usually we have quite a standardized sauce to go with most of our stir-fry dishes. instead of vegetable stock, we add soy sauce and oyster sauce/abalone sauce with some corn starch mixed with water. that's how we get the thick kind of gravy like chow mein's :)
@madwithpower .. thanks so much! I used all of those ingredients in the marinade, and found the cornflour on the beef thickened the stock up when it was re-added to the veges. Worked quite well. I'm not one for too much sauce/gravy on my stir frys! :)
@CookingwithKarma Hahaha i know the feeling, im just coming down off Glandlua Fever and Food Poisoning...feels so good! Hope you feel better soon missy!
i love the way u didn't waste the ginger n to0 much flour.. like other chef did, they always used lots of flour for coating n just threw it away after using it.. such a waste!! :'(
@nerdyl0l0l I can see it was just a joke comment, but some people may find that rasist. Not only to the asian countries, but to many dogs and dog lovers as well!
great tip on the ginger
