i made a bow out of a 2 1/2 inch branch my dad cut down and i stanied it yellow but now im going to satin the front light gray and the back a dark brown blackish color the poundage is at 35 pounds a 20 inches
can you tell me the secret of getting so close - here in the uk ive hunted rabbit on my own land for years with a rifle and the closest i ever get is maybe 10-15 yards before they run so i have to sit back and wait for them to come out - it seems that you can get right on top of them and take them out with a bow - nice video nice shooting -john(gamekeeper catapults uk)
@we66y357 Hey John, Cottontails are different in their personality from European rabbits; cottontails will first freeze in place to hope you dont see them and if you wear colors that blend you into their environment they wont move unless they notice you notice their presence.
If they are in tangles or brush like this vid, they will not move untill you almost step in their hiding place. Also cottontails dont make warrens and live above ground.
how was the rabbit i like them fried or stewed but love eating rabbit bbq is also great took my son on his first hunt a few years ago 35 lb bear recurve made his first kill thats the one you never forget.. thanks for the video brings back good memories
it looks like a lot of fun, can you tell me , what would do you prefer the most, compound bow hunting or traditional recurvebow hunting? i myself am quite good at the art of instinctive shooting , just waiting for bow hunting to be legal in sweden..
Can I ask you how you finish them off ? I mean, some are still alive after getting hit. I was wondering what was the easiest way to finish them, cuz I might start rabbit hunting somewhen soon myself.
@geenkabouter i dont know how they do but i'd say they snapp it's neck, that's the easiest and fastest way to execute them , atleast thats what iv'e experienced during pigeon hunting,
