@ChameleonDave why do you pronounce some of the words as oxytones? Is it a modified pronunciation due to the metric, or the rhyme, or something?
I don't pretend to know much of Latin but up until now I was absolutely sure that Latin had no oxytones (except for monosyllables).

@Guillhez I'm not stressing the usual stressed syllable of the word, but the ictus of the foot. We don't actually know whether poetry was recited like that or not.
