ahaha, w/e man...i'll admit i haven't listened to much offspring since they released that terrible single "Pretty Fly". But based on what i've seen in this video, which is a predictable use of basic power chords (definitely not "hug worthy"), I'm going to have to assume not much has changed.
The Offspring IS A powercord band. They always have been and thats what there going to be. Making that a reason isn't legit at all, and its also pathetic. Thats like saying so and so doesn't like you because you breathe. It doesn't make sense. If you don't like powercord bands then okay just dont listen to it.

The great thing about the offspring isn't the guitars, its how all the instruments come together to make a great sound. The songs are so good they practicaly play themselves anyway.

Technical proficientcy does not always= amazing music...yes you may choose to play a style that requires more 'skill' and know how of a guitar but the term 'good' is highly subjective to what you are trying to describe...it's too much of a relative term. Whats good music to someone might be shit to another. Doesn't make either person less wrong for having their own opinion...Personally, the Offspring is a good band in my opinion because their songs are easy to play and you don't need exp to play

I like the riff, man...I think they shouldn't use so much bass, but it's a cool riff...not a bad song...but I know better songs of the offspring, do you understand?
The trust in you song has very powerful lyrics. Imagine being in a helpless position with someone you disagree with (at times) but they are the person that must bend over to help you. Its a hard position to be with but I must live there every day until one day I can become my own, because my brother is there for me, and our father has abandoned us.
Maybe that is just me, but those lyrics are incredibly powerful and meaningful. I love my brother, but sometimes things turn sour.

Synyster Gates sucks, because all he does is sweep picking and scales. But once again, Punk is not the same as Metalcore. It's like comparing Jazz music to Death Metal and saying that anyone who listens to jazz sucks at guitar or bass or whatever.

The trust in you song has very powerful lyrics. Imagine being in a helpless position with someone you disagree with (at times) but they are the person that must bend over to help you. Its a hard position to be with but I must live there every day until one day I can become my own, because my brother is there for me, and our father has abandoned us.
Maybe that is just me, but those lyrics are incredibly powerful and meaningful. I love my brother, but sometimes things turn sour.
