First time I've ever heard someone actually admit they can't do shit in the ring but it's entertainment so who cares as long as they entertain. Not like what Flair said wasn't true, but only ring wise.
Nash was great at what he did, which was be a powerhouse intimidating presence in the ring. Was good on the mic and good enough in the ring, like he said he's and entertainer and not everyone in Sports Entertainment needs to be extremely technically proficient, 40 Malinko's and Benoit's, great as they were, won't draw a dime.
@MultiRocketman007 HAHAHAHA! Never saw him play ball, but Nash would end Flair faster than Drago on Creed, only difference was at least lundgren and weathers actually hit each other while acting
It's entertainment not s sport. Flair can win 1,000 world titles it means nothing. Nash looks great banked his money and never has to work another day in his life. Now Flair is in TNA going to be 63 and I hope this does not happen but may die in the ring. Flair is also a legit drunk.
well nash is a heavy drinker too, but lucky for him he can handle himself welll and knows when to stop, offcourse nash isnt a great talent int he ring, movewise, but in his top days he had alot of power, and he is a hero on the mic, has great charisma and looked great and powerful, plus he is a smart guy
Whether you like nash or not, he's one of the greatest big men of all time. He had his championship reign in wwf, he formed one of the biggest factions ever with the NWO, had a great run with wcw....i mean he has accomplished a lot and he cut some great promos.
A shoot fight with flair? watch or do some mma and see how long a 7 foot broom handle with 2 shot knees , would last against allmost any one . Flair may be in his 60`s but can still take 3 steps with out flaking out(ever see the tag match where nash spent the duration bar about 30 seconds clinging for dear life to the ring post on the apron) Nash ,stick to what your good at and thats rubbing your nipple`s in crap Adam sandler films.FLAIR 4 LIFE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Nash just pissed on everyone who made wrestling huge by calling it fake. Although it scripted you still have to be able to go in the ring, draw crowds and give your body a hell of a pounding.
If Nash was anywhere near as legendary as Ric Flair he wouldn't be so quick to throw the fake word around. Flair does love himself though that much is clear
@Kendall2001 Only if the actor and his friends were the only one voting to see who got the Oscar. Listen I'm not a very big fan of Flair but I hate Nash more and if you asked me to pick between them I would choose Flair every time over Big Lazy Kevin Nash but lets face it Flair either booked himself those titles or had his friends do it. did he deserve some of the title matches he won, you bet but not all and lets be honest here for a lot of years he fought in his own back yard so fans cheered.
@Kendall2001 and Lawler did the same but in his case he either owned the company or was wrestling in his back yard like Flair but he has held 164 champioships some of which were world heavyweight (AWA, NWA,WCCW,and More) and since comming to wwe never won the title and Flair won twice.
@Superman679 Flair's best decade was the 1980's - it's when he was at his athletic and creative peak. When Flair won his first few NWA World Titles it was decided by vote among the heads of The NWA Committee - not unlike an Oscar award that is voted upon by the Academy Awards Committee. They never voted to make Lawler NWA Heavyweight Champion. Flair certainly didn't own it, and it was worldwide. By mid-80's through 1988 it was Dusty as booker choosing to make Flair long term champion.
@Kendall2001 That much is true about The NWA Committee voting on who would hold the NWA World Title. Later on it seemed like Dusty HAD TO KEEP that belt on Ric Flair, just so that they could keep up with the WWF and The Hulkamania Machine.
@MarcusHardy2741 Flair was their top heel, could adapt to anyone's style and wrestle an hour or more when needed. The only guy they had that they might have had as their champion for any extended length of time and competed with The WWF would have been Magnum T.A. He was arguably more over with the fans than Dusty before his car accident. There's no telling how much more popular he would have become. He could have rivaled Hogan in popularity.
@Kendall2001 I totally agree. Magnum TA would have been the one to carry JCC/NWA to the next level. Magnum becoming the NWA World Champion would have given The WWF a run for their money. I personally feel that the Crockets took too long to make that "changing of the guard" happen.
i wouldnt say nash has no talent but really his claim to fame is being really big and tall and being in the nwo and thats it... nash has like 8 moves in his arsenal but ric flair is just a douche, hes just another old wrestler who doesnt wanna give up his spot, hes so god damn boring now a days its rediculous
Nice to know there's at least ONE person who's a big-name superstar who DOESN'T kiss Flair's ass 24/7. GOD! Is he REALLY that fucking great?? Maybe in the '80s... But by the '90s and esp. the 2000s, he was so shitty in the ring. The only thing going for him then was his 'persona' and promo ability. But somehow that drew in ENOUGH people to see him and buy tickets and shit. Christ... He was nothing more than an overrated used car salesman who loved to shout in the mic.
That's what Ric Flair is- a lemon used car. He SEEMS (or did for a while) like he has ability and shit, but when push comes to shove, you see just how shitty he really is. I have little respect for him, at least as a wrestler. MY favorites are true legends like Chris Benoit (the murder-suicide nowithstanding), Kurt Angle, Sting, Curt Hennig, and so on. Hell, back in his WWF days, even Scott Hall was pretty fucking good and way more entertaining than Flair in the ring. Even 1-2-3 Kid.
Add Chris Jericho to that list of favorites. A lot of the high-flying luchadors, although Rey Mysterio has become far too mainstream in his wrestling and had to moderate (or did by choice, I dunno) his WWE matches way too much to where they're so fucking boring.
Undertaker is definitely another great that cannot be overlooked and is 10X better than Flair. Yet even UNDERTAKER pretty much BOWED to Flair on the Raw after Wrestlemania when he officially 'retired.' Disgusting
Nash is wrong on Flair, who is one of the greatest of all time. But Flair is wrong on Nash. Nash had enough talent in the ring, plus the size, to make good matches. He also had talent on the mic. As a booker, however, Kevin was severely lacking.
Flair is just a slightly more generous version of Hulk Hogan. He put people over so I don't completely dislike him but the guy has the same real life ego that Hogan has, anyone who denies that is clearly making excuses for him. Flair is the same guy who said Mick Foley didn't have "it" during a time when Mick was in the greatest physical shape of his career. Flair is not the genius everyone gives him credit for. He worked with the best and thats why he got over. He's not that great a wrestler.
@scoresman69er, if you think Flair has an ego like Hogan, you're only seeing him as his heel persona/character in the wrestling biz. Flair said Mick was a glorified stuntman. Which is true and something Mick has not denied. Mick said he became hardcore because he was not technically proficient. Actually, Flair represents everything that is good about Pro Wrestling and why I started watching it to begin with. He didn't just work with the best either. He made mediocre wrestlers look great!
@huskiepride1206, actually it was Bret Hart that started this feud. He said some derogatory things about Ric and the Naitch just responded back with the real deal truth.
@metalhead ric flair was I great champion and wrestler in his day by going on tv and talking 4 10min about how great he is and how he is a wrestling god is not putting anyone over but himself he is taking away tv time from some of the younger wrestlers only because he still wants to be in the lime light and hardly even wrestles out of respect 4 himself Shawn Michaels the wwe his career and legacy his last match should have been the one he had with Michaels at wrestlemania
@nuahseve, Flair has always put over the younger guys and he has always made everyone look exceptional in the ring even if they shouldn't have been there in the first place. The man is beyond generous. Plus his interviews/promos are widely considered as being some of the best in the business. As a heel, you have to have ego in your promos but Flair doesn't just speak of himself. And Flair is retired from the ring. He just wrestles occasionally like Mick Foley for example.I have no problem with it
Flair has done so much 4 this biz but he is lke a bitter old man now who needs to hang it up in wwe he had to put ppl over now he is in tna walking arould calling himself a wrestling god he is doing more damage to he younger guys of tna then helping them and putting them over it's like Paul heyman said he is one of those guys u look at and say he was good wrestler back in the day but but really needs to step aside and give the young guys more shine
@nuahseve, Flair has always let the young guys shine. He has been putting over younger guys since the 80's and making them stars too. He did it for Jay Lethal not too long ago. Flair has probably done more for the business than anyone. He has also sacrificed alot. Honestly, he deserves to do as he pleases. Plus, he's still damn entertaining in my view.
When Flair speaks about his fellow Pro Wrestlers he is brutally honest and truthful. I have yet to see someone point out where Flair was factually wrong about what he has said. Flair is the greatest ever and probably contributed more to the business than most. He wasn't selfish like Hogan and he made more big stars than anyone. Flair is one of the few wrestlers I would bow down too and say thank you. Nash was an alright entertainer but Scott Hall was better overall... certainly in the ring
@MetalheadJay78 Flair was not always factually correct. He said that Bret Hart couldn't draw money outside of Canada which is so ridiculous its laughable. he's also wrong when he said that Kevin Nash had no talent. what does he expect out of a guy who's nearly 7 foot and over 300lbs? your right about Flair putting people over though. He made everyone look great when he wrestled them.
@Jasonmcintyre2007, actually Flair was right about Hart. Why do you think he was always a transitional champion? He never kept the belt for a long period of time because in certain places(outside of Canada) he wasn't as large a draw as Flair, Hogan, or Savage for example. He was right about Nash too. The guy didn't have the ability or overwhelming charisma to be a maineventer. How can that be denied? Plus, Taker is around the same height, so you can't argue that. Even Scott Hall was much better.
@CavemanJesus4Life, do you know what "transitional" means? It means length of time a person was allowed to hold the title during a reign. Flair has had more World title reigns than anyone. He also had some of the longest reigns as well if you know your Pro Wrestling History. Compared to many World champs, Bret's reigns were extremely short. That's why he was a transitional champ. Flair and Vince were right. Bret didn't sell everywhere. That's why he was a transitional champ. Get it?
@MetalheadJay78 It may sound oblivious but the transitional champions in the WWF/E believe it or not were the Rock & Stone Cold as neither one of them held the title for a reign as long as Bret Hart(6 moths), Diesel(12 months), Jon Cena(13 months), JBL(10 months) had since Hogan(12 months) & Macho Man(12 months) since 1988
Since WC took over NWA title Ric Faliar has never held the title for more than 2 months, some even just 30 minutes withot losing it to someone..
@CavemanJesus4Life, I will agree that Flair DID become a transitional champ when Hogan came into the WCW. But that happened with almost everyone that was past their prime starting in the mid 90's. Bret was still in his prime. Flair was still a tremendous worker, made people look good, and was one of the best in terms of charisma and mic skills. Plus in his prime, he had reigns that lasted two years. That's how good he was. He kept the title because quite simply there was no one better overall.
@MetalheadJay78 Im not being a dick just clarifying that Ric Flair is full of shit and is only thinking of himself and never giving the credit to anyone being greater than him. But his days as a Championship reign were from 9/81 to 5/83, thats the only time he reigned as champion. Ever since Ric Flair has never held the title for more than 2 months. Last person to hold a reign was Jon Cena at 13 months
@CavemanJesus4Life, you seem not to know much about Flair or Pro Wrestling in general. No offense. I'm a Pro Wrestling historian and I can tell you that Flair is generally correct about a vast majority of what he has said. He also has given plenty of credit throughout his career. Flair is old school and puts much emphasis on class and respect. Of course you should do some research as well. Flair held the title over a year when he beat Steamboat in May 1989. Sting won it July 1990.14 months, bro
Nash has no talent, and neither did Flair. Flair overstayed his welcome. He MIGHT have had some talent back in the day before the Horsemen era and then the 1990s WCW, but he sucked shortly thereafter. Those matches were too slow anyway to really be compared to shit today.
@MaSQuEdePuSTA Gee, if the guy who first said the 'four moves' line could collect royalties, he'd be rich.
A big-man worker doesn't really need more than 'four moves.' Nash is talented, not the greatest, but isn't terrible. A lot of his success is attributed to his build... he HAS to be a 'big man' worker because that's what he is. You expect him to do dropkicks or something? (Yes, I know The Giant could.)
another point..if you could make millions for not doing much, wouldn't you do it too?
Flair hates everyone, such a varied group of people! He hates Macho Man Randy Savage, Scott Hall, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Bruno Samartino, Kevin Nash, Mick Foley, Ultimate Warrior, MMA fighters
Bit disapointed he said it was fake. We know the outcome is scripted but to be givien the world title especially back in flairs day to me ment you were the best. Nothin fake bout that
I like Nash havn't got nothing against him, but come on half his career he has been injured I don't think he has ever had a classic wrestling match. Sidewalk slam, punch, elbow, powerbomb, injured just about sums up nash. He is entertaining though I'll give him that but the best are the ones who can be entertaining and wrestle rings around everyone else.
@frednichols Yeah and thats it interviews promo's nothing else. Which is why Kevin Nash is over rated, he was a big star and big name but he is not one of the all time greats. Stop trying to make everyone fall in love with nash people have different opinions thats life deal with it.
I've always wondered how he ever got to were he did, being best pals with HBK and HHH helped alot.
@review1011 The only people in this business who are overrated are the ones who think their real wrestlers like Flair. It's entertainment.Nash isnt overrated because he made it to the top, made money, & last I checked no one has ever said he was a "great wrestler". I'm not trying to make people fall in love with a damn thing.Bottom line is Nash is a bigger star than Flair & "smarks" can't handle that.Because you just don't get it. IT ISN"T REAL!
@Freddy - With your logic, Pirates of Caribbean , Crash, Citizen Kane, etc. etc. are all "fakes". Well even theatric shows of Hamlet, Julius Caesar etc. are fakes...
..Like the guy said, it's "Scripted". I hope anyone who understands the difference between Potato and Tomato knows the difference between "Fake" and "Scripted"
@ashtray4241 what they do in the ring is not fake it hurts. but they already know who the winner is and loser and they all dont really hate eachother becuase if you hate someone how can you trust them to hold you when you jump
@frednichols dude it's not fake. it's scripted. no matter how you spin it, it's scripted. if it was fake, why would people get hurt in the ring? since when did people get hurt doing something that's fake?
@DoubleA9211 No it really is fake. No matter how you try to spin it, it's fake. Stop with the it hurts bullshit. If it hurt that bad they wouldnt be able to do it so often. Injuries do happen. Doesnt mean it's real. I'll let you in on a little secret, it's fake. Think about it really hard and you might "get it". LOL SMH "smart fans"
@frednichols You should consider getting powerbombed by somebody inside a wrestling ring and see just how "fake" it is. I'll let you in on a little secret...It actually hurts. Think about THAT really hard and you might "get it." Idiot
As for it being 1986 again? Wrestling will never be that good again! You need to stick with your Sports Entertainment crap, you really do. You need to learn what YOU are talking about.
@Thebadguy1987 Stop please! WCW didn't have a clue what to do with Nash.He got big in nthe WWF & it carried over when he went back to WCW,Flair is an overated ass
@frednichols I respect your opinion bro.I can also see how Flair can be concepted as being "overrated". Its all opinion.I just think when it came to working in thhe ring, Flair is one of the best. Alot better than Nash, hell Nash just said it himself.
How can he be jealous? Easy! Ric Flair worked his ass off throughout his career. He has wrestled 60 minutes in one night, night after night. Can you seriously call Kevin Nash a Wrestler? He is from an era where image mattered...not ability. I know what I'm saying. Wrestling history goes back a lot further that last week, moron. Kevin Nash is like Triple H: a wannabe tough guy, but, in reality, is a free-loading suit and tie guy.
@lizardman77 Flair has no Talent.. at taking critics. He's also got an ego the size of a fat horse's ass, which Nash used to have, but I'm happy to see he's cooled off since WCW.
@1981cruehead I totally disagree w/ your comments Look at some of Flair's matches in NWA (Jim Crockett Mid Atlantic) and early WcW and he was a better wrestler and a better entertainer than Nash could ever hope to be. Go watch some of the matches Flair had with Ricky Steamboat and the smack he talked to Steamboat.....And look at the interviews he and the Horsemen had over the years and of course tag matches. Here is some simple math:
@NYGiants5680 yeah we all get that Flair was a better wrestler than Nash but in the present day Its Nash who is doing better... He returned to WWE to a huge pop, has inked a legends contract from what I understand and has been wise with his money.
Flair on the other hand has pissed his all his money away and is tarnishing his legacy by blading almost everytime he gets in the ring. Do you not find it sad that a guy of Ric's age is jumping around the ring making sure the spotlight is on him?
I like Flair and Nash both but Flair does talk alot of shit about other wrestlers. He seems insecure to me. In Flair's prime he was as good or better than anyone who ever did it. Nash wasnt a great wrestler but he was a damn good entertainer and thats a big part of being a successful pro wrestler.
@nexivdr, yeah as much as i was a mark for him when he was in his prime, i see your point. Now he talks alot of shit about other wrestlers in shoot interviews and i'm not entertained by his crazy old man rants in TNA. It's also pitiful to see a man his age still blading himself.
@CoryByrd2006 , yes they do. If pro wrestling/sports entertainment was just a bunch of great technical wrestlers with no charisma then it would become boring as hell to me. Nash was more entertaining than most wrestlers in my opinion. He could be funny or act dead serious about kickin someone's ass and it kept me interested in what he was saying. Plus i dont think he was a bad wrestler. He was decent for a big man in my opinion but was just injury prone.
@ReALiTeeChEkk I'm saying that Ric Flair speaks the truth, Wrestlers/creative etc etc _THEY_ see it as the truth we see it as shit since we dont really knows whats going on behind the scene..also Flair said that Kevin Nash can't wrestle, as far as im concerned, he really cant..Also in this interview Kevin Nash says Wrestling is fake, I bet a guy who really busted his ass for 10-20 years in any industry wouldn't call it fake, it's scripted and not fake.
@amirhaha , Nash wasnt a good wrestler but Flair said he had zero talent which is untrue. You dont get as successful as Nash was without any talent. Flair also said Scott Hall was overrated & only known for 1 thing & thats wrestling HBK in a ladder match. He also said Brett Hart was never a big star & only Canadians think of him as such. All those comments are ridiculous bullshit. But i didnt like Nash calling it fake either. Flair earned all those title reigns by being the best at what he does.
@ReALiTeeChEkk nash is a horrible wrestler he had no experience before entering wcw he got the job cause his look. kevin nash thinks he sold out arenas but what he doesnt realize is people dont go to see him.
@NoLMAOnade, I wouldnt say a horrible wrestler. He was a big guy so he relied on power moves. Did u expect a guy his size to go in there do what someone like HBK did ? Other big guys were no better (Hogan, Sid Viscious, Andre the Giant, Big Show). No one wrestler sells out an arena. It's the whole card that does it. Nash always was very popular with the crowd and was a big part in what sold out arenas whether u want to admit it or not.
@ReALiTeeChEkk i meant to say too that nash talks just as much shit as flair if not more. but nash was always a part of something big. he himself was never anything big like he thinks.. he was always just there. im not saying he should go and fly off the top rope but that he should know how to wrestle and at least have a little ground game. Hogan could actually wrestle if he wanted to. the other guys maybe not so much but they drew crowds because of who they are not who their with unlike nash
@NoLMAOnade , we will just have to disagree about Hogan being a better wrestler than Nash. As far as Nash "just being there" with bigtime wrestlers, that's crazy talk. NWO wouldnt have been the same without him and he was not always with HBK when he was in WWE. He could walk out by himself in WWE or WCW and get a big pop from the crowd. He was a big star but your hate for him seems to keep u in denial. As far as talking shit, I havent heard Nash put down other wrestlers like Flair has.
@ReALiTeeChEkk nash never wrestled before getting into WCW so that right there tells you hes not a wrestler. he also says he isnt a wrestler and will admit that hogan is a better wrestler than him. also look up Hogan Vs Masahiro Chono... Name one memorable match Nash was in.... and as far as talking shit you must be blind and deaf to think Nash doesnt talk as much shit as flair i mean look at the related videos for christ sakes
@ReALiTeeChEkk Nash is boarder line horrible in the ring. For a big guy he really never brought anything to the table. Most of his career he was injured I personally don't think he was built to last in a wrestling ring. As a star and personality hell yeah he's up there with the best. As an in ring performer, not so much.
@review1011, Undertaker and Kane are exceptions for big men when it comes to in ring skills. But i thought Nash was as good as alot of other big men in wrestling. Not many were very mobile in the ring. But yes he definitely stayed injured alot. My whole point was his charisma made him a star and was the reason Flair was wrong for saying he had no talent.
@NoLMAOnade Kevin Nash was in the WWF before he joined the WcW as aka Diesel so get your facts straight! And I don't see what all this BS is about him not being a good wrestler? Who gives a shit it's all fake anyway so it's the acting that counts more to me I could give a shit less if he can't do jumping jacks around the ring, Nash made one of the best moments of all time in wrestling history aka NWO and the WCW days so fuck old grimy ass rick flair cause he ain't nothin compared to Kevin Nash.
@GoDzsOn316 no he was in wcw before wwe get YOUR facts straight.. look up the Master Blasters.. and he even says hes not a wrestler.. hes only an "entertainer".. your proving my point he was always a part of something but when hes on his own nobody gaves a shit about him.. you must be 14 if you think ric flair is shit
@frednichols, you wasnt impressed with Flair's wrestling in the 80's ? He could go 60 minutes full steam, take bumps as good as anyone, always let the other wrestler shine also, was very athletic, and performed a variety of moves. I thought in his prime he was a damn good wrestler. But when i said he was one of, if not the best to ever do it, i was talking about everything combined (ring skills, mic skills, acting ability, his looks, etc.).
@ReALiTeeChEkk This is where I have a problem. Mic skills? LOL that's a joke. His interviews were lame & stupid. Never understood that. He wasnt a damn good wrestler, he wasnt a wrestler. People talk about Hogan & others doing the same match over & over, come on man! Seriously I watched Flair in the 70's & 80's long before the internet "SMARKS" filled fans with BS about Flair. Didnt care about him then & ratings of NWA/WCW showed I wasnt alone.
@frednichols, "he wasnt a wrestler", "his interviews were lame & stupid". lmao wow u are a true hater of Flair. You are entitled to your opinion but there are very few who would agree with them. Flair's interviews in the 80's influenced many stars of the 90's and today. Nash even admits he was one of the best. You tell me what wrestler DOESNT do the same moves in every match ? Flair carried the NWA for years so not sure what your talking about. I watched him in the 70's and 80's as well.
@frednichols , now there's someone we can both agree on. I was a big Arn fan too. I agree that he was better than Flair in the ring but i thought they both were good. As far as on the mic i liked them both for different reasons. Flair was cocky, funny, and exciting. At least in my opinion, i know u disagree. But Arn was all business and made u believe he was dead serious about what he was saying. He was the best at making it seem real. Arn is definitely one of my all time favorites.
@ReALiTeeChEkk Arn was the man. I just never got into Flair. I don't get why some people get so excited about him, but that's what's cool about wrestling. It has something for everyone
@frednichols , yeah no 2 fans will agree about every wrestler. We all have our favorites and ones we dont like. Like i said, i was a big fan of Flair in his prime but he hasnt interested me in probably the last 15 years. I hated it when Arn couldnt wrestle anymore cause i would liked to have seen and heard more of him.
@ReALiTeeChEkk - Agreed! Flair was to real "total package". How dare Nash say all of this bullshit about such a great wrestler like Flair. Total disrespect.
@ReALiTeeChEkk Ric was entertaining, but I never thought he was a good WRESTLER! Good wrestlers to me are guys like Angle, the Harts, Thesz, Race, Dynamite, Steamboat, guys like that are who I think of when I hear the term wrestling. Ric did things that made no sense all the time, he'd work the arm for 5 minutes, then suddenly work the leg, then a headlock out of the blue, no rhyme or reason, his in ring story telling was so inconsistent. I put him in the Hogan, Cena category of entertainers!
@beboi69, if Flair worked an arm for 5 minutes then switched to a leg, the psychology could be that he didnt want them to expect him to go for the leg right off. Cause he always ended up working the leg to set up the figure four. A headlock can come out of the blue from any wrestler at any time. I bet all the greats that Flair wrestled against would disagree with u. Cena is a child entertainer and so was Hogan (except for NWO). Flair had a variety of fans and could easily outwrestle either one.
@ReALiTeeChEkk yea flair backthen could out wrestle cena now but cena isnt a terrible wrestler. he aint one of the best ones but as a full package cena is a fine performer. he did well in the ruthless aggression era or thats what i think it was called. cena did good b4 wwe became too kid friendly. people just take shots at him cuz he is the face of a kids show. alot of them say cena isnt the best wrestler but hes not the worst. and hogan had nothing on flair but hogan still is the most popular
@ReALiTeeChEkk btw i dont like hogan in case ur wondering but flair really should have retired and stayed retired. the matches he did in wwe when he was too old was bad. and it was ridiculous to let people lose to flair even when he was in evolution he should ajust been a manager and not a wrestler then. he is too old and needs to retire but i never saw any talent in hulk hogan
@JYC316 , I dont think Cena is as bad a wrestler as people say either but i do think he's corny. I agree that Flair should have retired from the ring years ago and became a manager only. Hogan should have retired from the ring years ago as well.. His wrestling skills sucked even in his prime, let alone after he got old.
@ReALiTeeChEkk yea super cena gimmick really needs to die off. i really liked dr of thuganomics. heel or face. but yea i havent watched too many old wrestling matches but hogan didnt seem to be able to move much. his legacy is still forever though because the slam heard around the world
@ReALiTeeChEkk LOL what a stupid post. 5 Mins working on an arm, then 5 on a leg. 10 mins gone. Whip to the corner over the top rope, run down the apron. Chop, Chop, Chop Chop CHop Chop. Back drop, beg, low blow. Figure 4 doesnt work DQ. WHAT A MATCH WOOOO GREATEST OF ALL TIME WOOOO! LOL STOP ALREADY!
Cena and Hogan are child entertainers? No dude they are simply entertainers who made or make money even without 60 minute bullshit matches that people outside of "real fans" could care less about
@frednichols , dont be ridiculous. You can describe any wrestlers match in that way. Everybody does a set of signature moves during a match. Cena and Hogan(in the 80's) would be nothing without kids watching wrestling. If u dont realize that then u dont know much about wrestling. Which it looks that way anyhow because u are hating on Flair but defending Hogan and Cena and calling wrestling fake.
@ReALiTeeChEkk What does the age of fans have to do with anything? Just asking....As for the all wrestlers have a set of signature moes comment. That's the point..
@ReALiTeeChEkk What does the age of fans have to do with anything? Just asking....As for the all wrestlers have a set of signature moes comment. That's the point..Oh and wrestling is fake
@frednichols , I talk about the age of Hogan and Cena fans cause 99% of adult pro wrestling fans are not impressed with mediocre wrestlers with superhero gimmicks that appeal to kids. I guess you're in the other 1%. Flair had signature moves but he did alot more than just that. Wrestling is fake to a certain degree but not completely. If u dont agree with that then u have no knowledge of the pro wrestling business. Go tell a pro wrestler it's just all fake and see how that works out for ya.
@ReALiTeeChEkk I would never do that cause he might fake beat me up LOL I do get it. Been a fan for oer 30 years but it's fake no matter how you spin it or try to defend it.
@frednichols , We both know why u would never say that to a wrestler's face lol. Was it "fake" when Mick Foley fell from the top of a cage TWICE in one match ? Is it "fake" when they get stitches from a chair shot to the head ? Is it a "fake" razor blade that they use to make a "fake" cut on their own head to pour "fake" blood ? No, no, and no. You dont sound like a 30 year fan. You sound like a kid who's daddy told him "dont worry son, they're not really mad at each other".
@ReALiTeeChEkk Foley didn't fall from the top of a cage,he jumped. The second was planned as well. That makes it fake, planned, or staged.Yes he really hit the breakaway table(like he was suppose to) & wrestlers really do cut themselves with blades so they bleed real blood to give the illusion of a real injury, hence it’s planned or whatever you wish to call it. bottom line its fake.Your points don’t change that.Seriously you don’t have to defend wrestling to me.I’m a fan.
@frednichols, Undertaker didnt really throw him off the cage & he didnt just happen to hit the table. Yes we know that is staged or planned. But he actually did a freefall from that distance & the table was there just to keep him from kiling himself. It wasnt a soft landing that was kept hidden from the crowd. Thats where fake differs from planned or staged. If a guy actually cuts himself then the injury is planned or staged but it's still a real injury and not fake. They're not the same thing.
@ReALiTeeChEkk Agreed, Ric had the combined skills that are hard to match. Alot of guys are good at one thing be it on the mic or acting but its rare to be skilled in all of them and rarer still to last as long as Ric. Kevin Nash was always a no talented big man who's overpowering greed caused him make bad choices for his career.
@sortedevaras I always thought Flair sucked on the mic. I never got why some thought he was so great. Nash didn't make a name by not having talent. Don't be rediculous.
@frednichols Saying Flair sucked at the mic invalidates anything you could ever possibly say in this argument. Nash was not hired for talent, he was hired because WWF liked (and still likes) having a powerful big man that they could show off for a couple months in matchs in which they stomp nobodies then get beaten by a big name star like Hogan or in Nash's case Michaels at a Wrestlemania or other PPV event. WCW, not being known for good choices, hired him.
@MagicKirin , i cant argue with that. Steamboat was an excellent wrestler and Windham was one of my favorites back then. I dont think Flair was the best ever as far as in ring ability. I just think he was very good in his prime and one of the best ever as far as the whole package goes.
Anybody who says Kevin Nash did not draw crowds is obviously DEAF! Reference the 40 man Royal Rumble, Kevin Nash was apart of and the crowd pop he got when he cameout! Not to mention Scott Hall, Kevin Nash & Hulk Hogan where the back bone of the nWo!! The Outsiders were one of my favorite tag teams growing up. I GET IT, I really do! Kevin Nash makes a lot of you MARKS out there mad but Kevin Nash is ENTERTAINMENT, that's what Wrestling is about!
"...but it's fake?" Jesus, was he reading from a Vince Russo script? Great way to stay professional in an interview, bro.

That's like Nash saying to an actor: "You might have 15 Oscar awards, but you know what? It's not real; it's scripted."
Kendall2001 5 months ago
@Kendall2001 Only if the actor and his friends were the only one voting to see who got the Oscar. Listen I'm not a very big fan of Flair but I hate Nash more and if you asked me to pick between them I would choose Flair every time over Big Lazy Kevin Nash but lets face it Flair either booked himself those titles or had his friends do it. did he deserve some of the title matches he won, you bet but not all and lets be honest here for a lot of years he fought in his own back yard so fans cheered.
Superman679 5 months ago
@Kendall2001 and Lawler did the same but in his case he either owned the company or was wrestling in his back yard like Flair but he has held 164 champioships some of which were world heavyweight (AWA, NWA,WCCW,and More) and since comming to wwe never won the title and Flair won twice.
Superman679 5 months ago
@Superman679 Flair's best decade was the 1980's - it's when he was at his athletic and creative peak. When Flair won his first few NWA World Titles it was decided by vote among the heads of The NWA Committee - not unlike an Oscar award that is voted upon by the Academy Awards Committee. They never voted to make Lawler NWA Heavyweight Champion. Flair certainly didn't own it, and it was worldwide. By mid-80's through 1988 it was Dusty as booker choosing to make Flair long term champion.
Kendall2001 4 months ago

Kendall2001 4 months ago
@Kendall2001 I totally agree. Magnum TA would have been the one to carry JCC/NWA to the next level. Magnum becoming the NWA World Champion would have given The WWF a run for their money. I personally feel that the Crockets took too long to make that "changing of the guard" happen.

Christ... He was nothing more than an overrated used car salesman who loved to shout in the mic.
whoo689 6 months ago
That's what Ric Flair is- a lemon used car. He SEEMS (or did for a while) like he has ability and shit, but when push comes to shove, you see just how shitty he really is. I have little respect for him, at least as a wrestler. MY favorites are true legends like Chris Benoit (the murder-suicide nowithstanding), Kurt Angle, Sting, Curt Hennig, and so on. Hell, back in his WWF days, even Scott Hall was pretty fucking good and way more entertaining than Flair in the ring. Even 1-2-3 Kid.
whoo689 6 months ago
Add Chris Jericho to that list of favorites. A lot of the high-flying luchadors, although Rey Mysterio has become far too mainstream in his wrestling and had to moderate (or did by choice, I dunno) his WWE matches way too much to where they're so fucking boring.
whoo689 6 months ago
Undertaker is definitely another great that cannot be overlooked and is 10X better than Flair. Yet even UNDERTAKER pretty much BOWED to Flair on the Raw after Wrestlemania when he officially 'retired.' Disgusting

HGeneAnthony 6 months ago
Nash is wrong on Flair, who is one of the greatest of all time. But Flair is wrong on Nash. Nash had enough talent in the ring, plus the size, to make good matches. He also had talent on the mic. As a booker, however, Kevin was severely lacking.
fjccommish 6 months ago
Flair is just a slightly more generous version of Hulk Hogan. He put people over so I don't completely dislike him but the guy has the same real life ego that Hogan has, anyone who denies that is clearly making excuses for him. Flair is the same guy who said Mick Foley didn't have "it" during a time when Mick was in the greatest physical shape of his career. Flair is not the genius everyone gives him credit for. He worked with the best and thats why he got over. He's not that great a wrestler.
scoresman69er 6 months ago
@scoresman69er, if you think Flair has an ego like Hogan, you're only seeing him as his heel persona/character in the wrestling biz. Flair said Mick was a glorified stuntman. Which is true and something Mick has not denied. Mick said he became hardcore because he was not technically proficient. Actually, Flair represents everything that is good about Pro Wrestling and why I started watching it to begin with. He didn't just work with the best either. He made mediocre wrestlers look great!

@metalhead ric flair was I great champion and wrestler in his day by going on tv and talking 4 10min about how great he is and how he is a wrestling god is not putting anyone over but himself he is taking away tv time from some of the younger wrestlers only because he still wants to be in the lime light and hardly even wrestles out of respect 4 himself Shawn Michaels the wwe his career and legacy his last match should have been the one he had with Michaels at wrestlemania
nuahseve 6 months ago
@nuahseve, Flair has always put over the younger guys and he has always made everyone look exceptional in the ring even if they shouldn't have been there in the first place. The man is beyond generous. Plus his interviews/promos are widely considered as being some of the best in the business. As a heel, you have to have ego in your promos but Flair doesn't just speak of himself. And Flair is retired from the ring. He just wrestles occasionally like Mick Foley for example.I have no problem with it
MetalheadJay78 6 months ago
Flair has done so much 4 this biz but he is lke a bitter old man now who needs to hang it up in wwe he had to put ppl over now he is in tna walking arould calling himself a wrestling god he is doing more damage to he younger guys of tna then helping them and putting them over it's like Paul heyman said he is one of those guys u look at and say he was good wrestler back in the day but but really needs to step aside and give the young guys more shine
nuahseve 6 months ago
@nuahseve, Flair has always let the young guys shine. He has been putting over younger guys since the 80's and making them stars too. He did it for Jay Lethal not too long ago. Flair has probably done more for the business than anyone. He has also sacrificed alot. Honestly, he deserves to do as he pleases. Plus, he's still damn entertaining in my view.
MetalheadJay78 6 months ago
Kevin Nash is a technical wrestling marvel! *please note sarcasm*
BeerSlayer863 7 months ago
When Flair speaks about his fellow Pro Wrestlers he is brutally honest and truthful. I have yet to see someone point out where Flair was factually wrong about what he has said. Flair is the greatest ever and probably contributed more to the business than most. He wasn't selfish like Hogan and he made more big stars than anyone. Flair is one of the few wrestlers I would bow down too and say thank you. Nash was an alright entertainer but Scott Hall was better overall... certainly in the ring
MetalheadJay78 7 months ago
@MetalheadJay78 Flair was not always factually correct. He said that Bret Hart couldn't draw money outside of Canada which is so ridiculous its laughable. he's also wrong when he said that Kevin Nash had no talent. what does he expect out of a guy who's nearly 7 foot and over 300lbs? your right about Flair putting people over though. He made everyone look great when he wrestled them.
Jasonmcintyre2007 6 months ago
@Jasonmcintyre2007, actually Flair was right about Hart. Why do you think he was always a transitional champion? He never kept the belt for a long period of time because in certain places(outside of Canada) he wasn't as large a draw as Flair, Hogan, or Savage for example. He was right about Nash too. The guy didn't have the ability or overwhelming charisma to be a maineventer. How can that be denied? Plus, Taker is around the same height, so you can't argue that. Even Scott Hall was much better.
MetalheadJay78 6 months ago
@MetalheadJay78 Bret Hart as a Transitional champion? or Flair?
Bret Hart's Title reigns
1st reign was from 10/92 to 4/93=6 months
2nd reign was 3/94 to 11/94=8 months
3rd reign from 11/95 to 3/96=4 months
Bret's only transitional reign was 2/16/97 to 2/17/97 againt SId
5th reign from 8/97 to 11/97 screw job=3 months
then his WCW reign from 11/99 to 12/99 cause he had to retire
Brets reign were never transitional, only once just to make Undertaker win the title at WM 13 against Sid
CavemanJesus4Life 6 months ago
@CavemanJesus4Life, do you know what "transitional" means? It means length of time a person was allowed to hold the title during a reign. Flair has had more World title reigns than anyone. He also had some of the longest reigns as well if you know your Pro Wrestling History. Compared to many World champs, Bret's reigns were extremely short. That's why he was a transitional champ. Flair and Vince were right. Bret didn't sell everywhere. That's why he was a transitional champ. Get it?
MetalheadJay78 6 months ago
@MetalheadJay78 It may sound oblivious but the transitional champions in the WWF/E believe it or not were the Rock & Stone Cold as neither one of them held the title for a reign as long as Bret Hart(6 moths), Diesel(12 months), Jon Cena(13 months), JBL(10 months) had since Hogan(12 months) & Macho Man(12 months) since 1988
Since WC took over NWA title Ric Faliar has never held the title for more than 2 months, some even just 30 minutes withot losing it to someone..
CavemanJesus4Life 6 months ago
@CavemanJesus4Life, I will agree that Flair DID become a transitional champ when Hogan came into the WCW. But that happened with almost everyone that was past their prime starting in the mid 90's. Bret was still in his prime. Flair was still a tremendous worker, made people look good, and was one of the best in terms of charisma and mic skills. Plus in his prime, he had reigns that lasted two years. That's how good he was. He kept the title because quite simply there was no one better overall.
MetalheadJay78 6 months ago
@MetalheadJay78 Im not being a dick just clarifying that Ric Flair is full of shit and is only thinking of himself and never giving the credit to anyone being greater than him. But his days as a Championship reign were from 9/81 to 5/83, thats the only time he reigned as champion. Ever since Ric Flair has never held the title for more than 2 months. Last person to hold a reign was Jon Cena at 13 months
CavemanJesus4Life 6 months ago
@CavemanJesus4Life, you seem not to know much about Flair or Pro Wrestling in general. No offense. I'm a Pro Wrestling historian and I can tell you that Flair is generally correct about a vast majority of what he has said. He also has given plenty of credit throughout his career. Flair is old school and puts much emphasis on class and respect. Of course you should do some research as well. Flair held the title over a year when he beat Steamboat in May 1989. Sting won it July 1990.14 months, bro
MetalheadJay78 6 months ago
Nash has no talent, and neither did Flair. Flair overstayed his welcome. He MIGHT have had some talent back in the day before the Horsemen era and then the 1990s WCW, but he sucked shortly thereafter. Those matches were too slow anyway to really be compared to shit today.
whoo689 7 months ago
Well, it's true: Nash has NO talent. He's just big and has four moves.
MaSQuEdePuSTA 7 months ago
@MaSQuEdePuSTA Gee, if the guy who first said the 'four moves' line could collect royalties, he'd be rich.
A big-man worker doesn't really need more than 'four moves.' Nash is talented, not the greatest, but isn't terrible. A lot of his success is attributed to his build... he HAS to be a 'big man' worker because that's what he is. You expect him to do dropkicks or something? (Yes, I know The Giant could.)
another point..if you could make millions for not doing much, wouldn't you do it too?

@1981cruehead I totally disagree w/ your comments Look at some of Flair's matches in NWA (Jim Crockett Mid Atlantic) and early WcW and he was a better wrestler and a better entertainer than Nash could ever hope to be. Go watch some of the matches Flair had with Ricky Steamboat and the smack he talked to Steamboat.....And look at the interviews he and the Horsemen had over the years and of course tag matches. Here is some simple math:
FLAIR>Nash
NYGiants5680 10 months ago
@NYGiants5680 yeah we all get that Flair was a better wrestler than Nash but in the present day Its Nash who is doing better... He returned to WWE to a huge pop, has inked a legends contract from what I understand and has been wise with his money.
Flair on the other hand has pissed his all his money away and is tarnishing his legacy by blading almost everytime he gets in the ring. Do you not find it sad that a guy of Ric's age is jumping around the ring making sure the spotlight is on him?

AmAxel35 10 months ago
I like Flair and Nash both but Flair does talk alot of shit about other wrestlers. He seems insecure to me. In Flair's prime he was as good or better than anyone who ever did it. Nash wasnt a great wrestler but he was a damn good entertainer and thats a big part of being a successful pro wrestler.
ReALiTeeChEkk 10 months ago 22
@ReALiTeeChEkk flair is just a horrible piece of shit nowadays.
nexivdr 9 months ago
@nexivdr, yeah as much as i was a mark for him when he was in his prime, i see your point. Now he talks alot of shit about other wrestlers in shoot interviews and i'm not entertained by his crazy old man rants in TNA. It's also pitiful to see a man his age still blading himself.
ReALiTeeChEkk 9 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk thank you people get entertainer and wrestler confused alot
CoryByrd2006 9 months ago
@CoryByrd2006 , yes they do. If pro wrestling/sports entertainment was just a bunch of great technical wrestlers with no charisma then it would become boring as hell to me. Nash was more entertaining than most wrestlers in my opinion. He could be funny or act dead serious about kickin someone's ass and it kept me interested in what he was saying. Plus i dont think he was a bad wrestler. He was decent for a big man in my opinion but was just injury prone.
ReALiTeeChEkk 9 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk I think he's one of the few that dares to speak out the truth, we see it as shit they see it as the truth.
amirhaha 8 months ago
@amirhaha, sorry but i'm not sure what u mean ? Are u saying Flair dares to speak the truth. Who do u mean by "we" and "they" ?
ReALiTeeChEkk 8 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk I'm saying that Ric Flair speaks the truth, Wrestlers/creative etc etc _THEY_ see it as the truth we see it as shit since we dont really knows whats going on behind the scene..also Flair said that Kevin Nash can't wrestle, as far as im concerned, he really cant..Also in this interview Kevin Nash says Wrestling is fake, I bet a guy who really busted his ass for 10-20 years in any industry wouldn't call it fake, it's scripted and not fake.
amirhaha 8 months ago
@amirhaha , Nash wasnt a good wrestler but Flair said he had zero talent which is untrue. You dont get as successful as Nash was without any talent. Flair also said Scott Hall was overrated & only known for 1 thing & thats wrestling HBK in a ladder match. He also said Brett Hart was never a big star & only Canadians think of him as such. All those comments are ridiculous bullshit. But i didnt like Nash calling it fake either. Flair earned all those title reigns by being the best at what he does.
ReALiTeeChEkk 8 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk I can't argue with that, well said!
amirhaha 8 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk nash is a horrible wrestler he had no experience before entering wcw he got the job cause his look. kevin nash thinks he sold out arenas but what he doesnt realize is people dont go to see him.
NoLMAOnade 7 months ago
@NoLMAOnade, I wouldnt say a horrible wrestler. He was a big guy so he relied on power moves. Did u expect a guy his size to go in there do what someone like HBK did ? Other big guys were no better (Hogan, Sid Viscious, Andre the Giant, Big Show). No one wrestler sells out an arena. It's the whole card that does it. Nash always was very popular with the crowd and was a big part in what sold out arenas whether u want to admit it or not.
ReALiTeeChEkk 7 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk i meant to say too that nash talks just as much shit as flair if not more. but nash was always a part of something big. he himself was never anything big like he thinks.. he was always just there. im not saying he should go and fly off the top rope but that he should know how to wrestle and at least have a little ground game. Hogan could actually wrestle if he wanted to. the other guys maybe not so much but they drew crowds because of who they are not who their with unlike nash
NoLMAOnade 7 months ago
@NoLMAOnade , we will just have to disagree about Hogan being a better wrestler than Nash. As far as Nash "just being there" with bigtime wrestlers, that's crazy talk. NWO wouldnt have been the same without him and he was not always with HBK when he was in WWE. He could walk out by himself in WWE or WCW and get a big pop from the crowd. He was a big star but your hate for him seems to keep u in denial. As far as talking shit, I havent heard Nash put down other wrestlers like Flair has.
ReALiTeeChEkk 7 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk nash never wrestled before getting into WCW so that right there tells you hes not a wrestler. he also says he isnt a wrestler and will admit that hogan is a better wrestler than him. also look up Hogan Vs Masahiro Chono... Name one memorable match Nash was in.... and as far as talking shit you must be blind and deaf to think Nash doesnt talk as much shit as flair i mean look at the related videos for christ sakes
NoLMAOnade 7 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk Nash is boarder line horrible in the ring. For a big guy he really never brought anything to the table. Most of his career he was injured I personally don't think he was built to last in a wrestling ring. As a star and personality hell yeah he's up there with the best. As an in ring performer, not so much.
review1011 7 months ago
@review1011, Undertaker and Kane are exceptions for big men when it comes to in ring skills. But i thought Nash was as good as alot of other big men in wrestling. Not many were very mobile in the ring. But yes he definitely stayed injured alot. My whole point was his charisma made him a star and was the reason Flair was wrong for saying he had no talent.
ReALiTeeChEkk 7 months ago
@NoLMAOnade Kevin Nash was in the WWF before he joined the WcW as aka Diesel so get your facts straight! And I don't see what all this BS is about him not being a good wrestler? Who gives a shit it's all fake anyway so it's the acting that counts more to me I could give a shit less if he can't do jumping jacks around the ring, Nash made one of the best moments of all time in wrestling history aka NWO and the WCW days so fuck old grimy ass rick flair cause he ain't nothin compared to Kevin Nash.
GoDzsOn316 7 months ago
@GoDzsOn316 no he was in wcw before wwe get YOUR facts straight.. look up the Master Blasters.. and he even says hes not a wrestler.. hes only an "entertainer".. your proving my point he was always a part of something but when hes on his own nobody gaves a shit about him.. you must be 14 if you think ric flair is shit
NoLMAOnade 7 months ago
@GoDzsOn316 Nash was in the WCW before he went to the WWF as Vinnie Vegas and several other characters!
Nash HAS given some of the most entertaining/memorable moments of the modern era, so I'm with you on that one...
Naitch1981 7 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk Well said, but personally I've seen Falir in the ring many times over the last 30+ years & I was never impressed.
frednichols 7 months ago
@frednichols, you wasnt impressed with Flair's wrestling in the 80's ? He could go 60 minutes full steam, take bumps as good as anyone, always let the other wrestler shine also, was very athletic, and performed a variety of moves. I thought in his prime he was a damn good wrestler. But when i said he was one of, if not the best to ever do it, i was talking about everything combined (ring skills, mic skills, acting ability, his looks, etc.).
ReALiTeeChEkk 7 months ago 14
@ReALiTeeChEkk This is where I have a problem. Mic skills? LOL that's a joke. His interviews were lame & stupid. Never understood that. He wasnt a damn good wrestler, he wasnt a wrestler. People talk about Hogan & others doing the same match over & over, come on man! Seriously I watched Flair in the 70's & 80's long before the internet "SMARKS" filled fans with BS about Flair. Didnt care about him then & ratings of NWA/WCW showed I wasnt alone.
frednichols 7 months ago
@frednichols, "he wasnt a wrestler", "his interviews were lame & stupid". lmao wow u are a true hater of Flair. You are entitled to your opinion but there are very few who would agree with them. Flair's interviews in the 80's influenced many stars of the 90's and today. Nash even admits he was one of the best. You tell me what wrestler DOESNT do the same moves in every match ? Flair carried the NWA for years so not sure what your talking about. I watched him in the 70's and 80's as well.
ReALiTeeChEkk 7 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk I was more impressed with Arn back then
frednichols 7 months ago
@frednichols , now there's someone we can both agree on. I was a big Arn fan too. I agree that he was better than Flair in the ring but i thought they both were good. As far as on the mic i liked them both for different reasons. Flair was cocky, funny, and exciting. At least in my opinion, i know u disagree. But Arn was all business and made u believe he was dead serious about what he was saying. He was the best at making it seem real. Arn is definitely one of my all time favorites.
ReALiTeeChEkk 7 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk Arn was the man. I just never got into Flair. I don't get why some people get so excited about him, but that's what's cool about wrestling. It has something for everyone
frednichols 7 months ago
@frednichols , yeah no 2 fans will agree about every wrestler. We all have our favorites and ones we dont like. Like i said, i was a big fan of Flair in his prime but he hasnt interested me in probably the last 15 years. I hated it when Arn couldnt wrestle anymore cause i would liked to have seen and heard more of him.
ReALiTeeChEkk 7 months ago
@frednichols same here! Flair annoys the hell outta me.
whoo689 7 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk - Agreed! Flair was to real "total package". How dare Nash say all of this bullshit about such a great wrestler like Flair. Total disrespect.
SidJustice1 6 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk Ric was entertaining, but I never thought he was a good WRESTLER! Good wrestlers to me are guys like Angle, the Harts, Thesz, Race, Dynamite, Steamboat, guys like that are who I think of when I hear the term wrestling. Ric did things that made no sense all the time, he'd work the arm for 5 minutes, then suddenly work the leg, then a headlock out of the blue, no rhyme or reason, his in ring story telling was so inconsistent. I put him in the Hogan, Cena category of entertainers!
beboi69 5 months ago
@beboi69, if Flair worked an arm for 5 minutes then switched to a leg, the psychology could be that he didnt want them to expect him to go for the leg right off. Cause he always ended up working the leg to set up the figure four. A headlock can come out of the blue from any wrestler at any time. I bet all the greats that Flair wrestled against would disagree with u. Cena is a child entertainer and so was Hogan (except for NWO). Flair had a variety of fans and could easily outwrestle either one.
ReALiTeeChEkk 5 months ago 4
@ReALiTeeChEkk yea flair backthen could out wrestle cena now but cena isnt a terrible wrestler. he aint one of the best ones but as a full package cena is a fine performer. he did well in the ruthless aggression era or thats what i think it was called. cena did good b4 wwe became too kid friendly. people just take shots at him cuz he is the face of a kids show. alot of them say cena isnt the best wrestler but hes not the worst. and hogan had nothing on flair but hogan still is the most popular
JYC316 5 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk btw i dont like hogan in case ur wondering but flair really should have retired and stayed retired. the matches he did in wwe when he was too old was bad. and it was ridiculous to let people lose to flair even when he was in evolution he should ajust been a manager and not a wrestler then. he is too old and needs to retire but i never saw any talent in hulk hogan
JYC316 5 months ago
@JYC316 , I dont think Cena is as bad a wrestler as people say either but i do think he's corny. I agree that Flair should have retired from the ring years ago and became a manager only. Hogan should have retired from the ring years ago as well.. His wrestling skills sucked even in his prime, let alone after he got old.
ReALiTeeChEkk 5 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk yea super cena gimmick really needs to die off. i really liked dr of thuganomics. heel or face. but yea i havent watched too many old wrestling matches but hogan didnt seem to be able to move much. his legacy is still forever though because the slam heard around the world
JYC316 5 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk LOL what a stupid post. 5 Mins working on an arm, then 5 on a leg. 10 mins gone. Whip to the corner over the top rope, run down the apron. Chop, Chop, Chop Chop CHop Chop. Back drop, beg, low blow. Figure 4 doesnt work DQ. WHAT A MATCH WOOOO GREATEST OF ALL TIME WOOOO! LOL STOP ALREADY!
Cena and Hogan are child entertainers? No dude they are simply entertainers who made or make money even without 60 minute bullshit matches that people outside of "real fans" could care less about
frednichols 5 months ago
@frednichols , dont be ridiculous. You can describe any wrestlers match in that way. Everybody does a set of signature moves during a match. Cena and Hogan(in the 80's) would be nothing without kids watching wrestling. If u dont realize that then u dont know much about wrestling. Which it looks that way anyhow because u are hating on Flair but defending Hogan and Cena and calling wrestling fake.
ReALiTeeChEkk 5 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk What does the age of fans have to do with anything? Just asking....As for the all wrestlers have a set of signature moes comment. That's the point..
frednichols 5 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk What does the age of fans have to do with anything? Just asking....As for the all wrestlers have a set of signature moes comment. That's the point..Oh and wrestling is fake
frednichols 5 months ago
@frednichols , I talk about the age of Hogan and Cena fans cause 99% of adult pro wrestling fans are not impressed with mediocre wrestlers with superhero gimmicks that appeal to kids. I guess you're in the other 1%. Flair had signature moves but he did alot more than just that. Wrestling is fake to a certain degree but not completely. If u dont agree with that then u have no knowledge of the pro wrestling business. Go tell a pro wrestler it's just all fake and see how that works out for ya.
ReALiTeeChEkk 5 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk I would never do that cause he might fake beat me up LOL I do get it. Been a fan for oer 30 years but it's fake no matter how you spin it or try to defend it.
frednichols 4 months ago
@frednichols , We both know why u would never say that to a wrestler's face lol. Was it "fake" when Mick Foley fell from the top of a cage TWICE in one match ? Is it "fake" when they get stitches from a chair shot to the head ? Is it a "fake" razor blade that they use to make a "fake" cut on their own head to pour "fake" blood ? No, no, and no. You dont sound like a 30 year fan. You sound like a kid who's daddy told him "dont worry son, they're not really mad at each other".
ReALiTeeChEkk 4 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk Foley didn't fall from the top of a cage,he jumped. The second was planned as well. That makes it fake, planned, or staged.Yes he really hit the breakaway table(like he was suppose to) & wrestlers really do cut themselves with blades so they bleed real blood to give the illusion of a real injury, hence it’s planned or whatever you wish to call it. bottom line its fake.Your points don’t change that.Seriously you don’t have to defend wrestling to me.I’m a fan.
frednichols 4 months ago
@frednichols, Undertaker didnt really throw him off the cage & he didnt just happen to hit the table. Yes we know that is staged or planned. But he actually did a freefall from that distance & the table was there just to keep him from kiling himself. It wasnt a soft landing that was kept hidden from the crowd. Thats where fake differs from planned or staged. If a guy actually cuts himself then the injury is planned or staged but it's still a real injury and not fake. They're not the same thing.
ReALiTeeChEkk 4 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk OK I disagree
frednichols 4 months ago
@frednichols ,u can say u disagree but what i said was facts, not my opinion.
ReALiTeeChEkk 4 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk Agreed, Ric had the combined skills that are hard to match. Alot of guys are good at one thing be it on the mic or acting but its rare to be skilled in all of them and rarer still to last as long as Ric. Kevin Nash was always a no talented big man who's overpowering greed caused him make bad choices for his career.
sortedevaras 4 months ago
@sortedevaras I always thought Flair sucked on the mic. I never got why some thought he was so great. Nash didn't make a name by not having talent. Don't be rediculous.
frednichols 4 months ago
@frednichols Saying Flair sucked at the mic invalidates anything you could ever possibly say in this argument. Nash was not hired for talent, he was hired because WWF liked (and still likes) having a powerful big man that they could show off for a couple months in matchs in which they stomp nobodies then get beaten by a big name star like Hogan or in Nash's case Michaels at a Wrestlemania or other PPV event. WCW, not being known for good choices, hired him.
sortedevaras 4 months ago
@sortedevaras LOL ok
frednichols 4 months ago
@ReALiTeeChEkk no one these days can go 60 minutes and take bumps and do what flair did. No one.

@ReALiTeeChEkk
Flair was great in the 80s although quite honestly I thought Steamboat or Barry Windham pre injury brought more in terms of ability in the ring.
MagicKirin 3 months ago
@MagicKirin , i cant argue with that. Steamboat was an excellent wrestler and Windham was one of my favorites back then. I dont think Flair was the best ever as far as in ring ability. I just think he was very good in his prime and one of the best ever as far as the whole package goes.
ReALiTeeChEkk 3 months ago
Anybody who says Kevin Nash did not draw crowds is obviously DEAF! Reference the 40 man Royal Rumble, Kevin Nash was apart of and the crowd pop he got when he cameout! Not to mention Scott Hall, Kevin Nash & Hulk Hogan where the back bone of the nWo!! The Outsiders were one of my favorite tag teams growing up. I GET IT, I really do! Kevin Nash makes a lot of you MARKS out there mad but Kevin Nash is ENTERTAINMENT, that's what Wrestling is about!
