@Ranignald Nice video, i was wondering if you knew how to change the touchpad CLICKING sensitivity of my toshiba laptop, which also has vista because everytime i just move my pointer around i end up clicking everything because my touchpad is really sensitive and thinks im clicking when im not. Thank you.
that's probaby some kind of driver error? you generally don't need a driver for a mouse as windows handles that, but if you have special mouse software then that may be causing the problem. try reinstalling any "special" mouse software (e.g. logitech likes to bundle mouse software) and see if that works. also, have you tried rebooting...
I'm not sure what you are trying to do. If you can't get the sensitivity you may consider installing the software that came with the mouse. Generally I don't do that b/c I find that the mouse software is often bloatware that has features I don't use, but it may help you with your issue.
@MultiPie13 I don't know if this can be changed. The only thing I can think of is to try to change the theme?? I think this is a question you can ask on the Microsoft Suport Board. I would say that it's the "selection box that appears when you hold down the mouse to select multiple items on the desktop". I don't know what it's specifically called, but if you use the above description I think they'll know exactly what you mean. Hope that helps.
@MultiPie13 I looked at your video. We are talking about the same thing. I believe it's called a "selection box". In Windows XP it's a clear box. In vista it seems to be a blueish box. Is this what you are talking about?
@MultiPie13 So you have Vista and you want to change it to what is was like in Win 95? As far as I know, the only use for holding down the left mouse button on the windows desktop to create the "white-clear square" you are talking about is to make multiple selection (group selections) of icons on the desktop. I've never heard of changing that square.

how would it be possible to increase the mouse sensitivity beyond the system max, on an XP?

@MultiPie13 Hi. I'm not really sure what you are asking. What program are you talking about? What are you trying to do?
