HOLY damn, i bought Fantastic planet last year, i hadn't even heard of them before -_-'' today i discovered this song, and wow this is such an amazing song, another great album, hope they will make more in the future! 11 out of 10 just because it can!
@xODSxDrLove The best band ever to have lived perhaps.... they wont be doing anymore I dont think. they released the rest of their unincorporated songs in 2004. never heard anything else from them since. too bad they actually were a failure, they could have changed the world.
@EverythingAroundMe88 fuck my life man, i did read something about this on the web, man this is seriously messed up to hear, seen this is a VERY underated band, hopefully they will reform some day... i listen to alot of bands, but some how this is the only style/sound/lyrics that touch me, man what big big shame :(
@xODSxDrLove same here its a shame they didnt record more stuff its really the only type of music thats touched me.. i mean greg edwards is in this band called autolux now and the only cool thing about their songs is the bass..strange
I used to have a very high quality stereo system in my vehicle and would often play this song on long drives at night. The dark and large open sound of the verse always made me reflect on things while driving and listening, then the bridge with the drums and bass kick in with an awesome up-beat feel, and the thinking just goes away and is replaced with a smile. This isn't music it's magic...
@yyyuuuguppy For me the overdriven and flanged out notes that follow the chorus are heavenly but the outro in the end...the single notes played with the thumpy base line...it's like the last minute or 30 seconds of the song are the most beautiful and sum it up into a trance like state.
@yyyuuuguppy i don't think i could possibly disagree more with the fact that this is 2nd place to that statement because IT IS the best song in the history of the universe...sonically speaking.
Maybe the catchiest chorus on the whole album and that is really saying something considering songs like "Wonderful Life" and "Empty Friend" are also in contention.
Been a Failure fan for about 10 years now and can still listen to a song for the first time every time.
