I believe the comments people have made on here are diverse, and represent public opinion, therefore the people will decide his political fate in the end, based on the things they know about him.

People show some forgiveness, many other politicians have said similar things and never apologized. NDP premier of Manitoba and Governor General, Ed Schreyer, who described homosexuality as an "affliction," and never apologized when asked in 2006. Liberals, Steckle and Wapell called it unnatural and worse later in the 1990's while elected MPS. Bob Rae had an mpp who called gays queers in the 1990s, no consequences. Seriously, the biggest gay haters are self-haters. That's not an opinion, its a fact, look at the Republican party in the U.S. They are ashamed of their own homosexual feelings (because they were taught to be), and its helps them cope with that shame by lashing out in anger. Ha ha!

I'm not gonna say that some american republicans aren't homo's, because i don't know, i don't follow american politics. But i sure do know alot of men who love women and look down upon homosexuality. I know alot more of them, than i do self haters. Find me proof, that a mojority of homo haters are actually homo's themselves.. Honestly.
