Actually Optimus was a factory boy named Orion pax, but was destroyed by megaton and rebuilt by the autobot elder and was given the matrix which turned him into a prime and he was given the new name of Optimus. Way to go sounding like a new fan boy playstationtothemax. Being the last decedent of a prime was only in the movies...
thing is though rodimus isnt an offical prime:/ optimus was the last decendant he his rodimus on earth knowing that optimus would have to leave one day and he would die aswell as ironhide ratchet and jazz (bumblebee didnt exist is comics) so optimus new te decepticons would take planet earth and no1 would be their to save the humans so he hid rodimus and gave him a stronger energon source so newish fanboys dont know jack shit.
instead of rodimus tossing galvitron trough unicron wouldnt it be better for prime to leave him inside unicron when he blows up that would have been a dark end for him
While I love the "Arise Rodimus Prime", it's the part where Rodimus is running and says roll out that gives me chills every time, even 25 years later. The writers' reaction to the outcry against Optimus' death led to the end of this series. The way they portrayed Rodimus in this final scene, he could have been the ultimate badass leader, but they emasculated his character as season 3 progressed to MAKE him inferior to Optimus.

@jpkHouston I'm sort of with you on that one...while it IS Optimus' line, this is the one instance where it's completely epic coming from someone else. From 1:58 on is one of the most incredible scenes in any movie as far as I'm concerned. From Daniel shouting, "LOOK!!!" to the lyrics in the background (it's in the blood, it's in the will, it's in the mighty hands of steel when you're standing your ground), to the fierce / take charge look on Rodimus' face, this scene was just effing brilliant
my fave bit in this movie as a child, child hood memorys, i watched this so much my vhs was damaged still watchable with the fuzzy lines going up the screen lol
