@karadanianoI Ketoconazole is an antifungal, but also a shampoo, so just shampooing regularly should help with greasy hair. I do not know, but I do not expect that ketoconazole will reduce the oil production of your scalp.
ALSO, if I get a sunburn on my scalp and it's peeling, is it better to just try to moisturize it then... because the problem isn't fungus? is conditioner moisturizing for your scalp?
@MCMaddissimo If you sunburnt your scalp and it's peeling you should let it heal, and a moisturizer will likely not help that process. This type of flaking is not caused by fungus. Thanks for the questions!
That room is painted such a nice colour! Somebody had a good eye when they picked out that one! Good paint job too.
I have a question for you, though. Does using a conditioner/ another shampoo that smells nicer/ a leave-in conditioning treatment after using an anti-fungal shampoo reduce the medicated shampoo's effectiveness? I noticed at the drug store head and shoulders put selenium sulfide in their shampoo and their conditioner. is it a good idea to use a medicated conditioner too?
@MCMaddissimo No, the ketoconazole is only working as long as it is in your hair (2-4 minutes 1-2 times per week as per the bottle) so after you rinse it out, it has done it's job, and you are free to follow up with any conditioner you please (no need for medicated if you are already using the keto.).
Very informative. Thanks!
