The suit I made was a cross between a wingsuit and camera suit. A very bad design and poor idea all around. in later jumps I had a mis-routed pilot chute (design error) that caused a failed cutaway and I had to pull the reserve with main in a streamer. Go lucky that time too. I don't jump anymore.
@nuclearhudson The jumper below was obviously going for his pilot chute...he didnt wave off, but you can see what he is going for. Period. And I agree...you are sorry.
@mirageg4 You obviously have no idea. He reached for his pilot chute, but do you think someone can get away from that position in just 1 second? question time! Have you ever skydived yourself?
ok so i'm going to approach a jumper from behind where he/she can't see me and float above right at pull time!! Then title the video WAVE OFF BEFORE YOU PULL!
Even if it wasn't pull time this is a bad spot to be! very scary!!
I'm kind of from the school that waveoff's are pretty much meaningless unless you're pulling at an abnormal time. I don't see how a waveoff could have prevented this incident. There is a good two seconds from the time he has his hand on the hacky to when i see fabric. Looking at this I'm pretty sure that it still would've happened if the 2nd camera guy can't stay away from someone.
