I never knew Jani Or got to meet him but I miss him A lot! He had such an amazing amount of talent! I cant wait to meet him when my time's up R.I.P. Jani Lane!!!
Remembering Jani, with this amazing song he wrote... Escucho esta canción (una de mis favoritas de siempre del Dog Eat Dog), y aún no puedo creer que Jani ya no esté... Gracias Jani * Thanx Jani.
@dizzotizzo yep...and Nirvana never wrote a single song that could touch this. Not to mention Nirvana didn't have the technical skill set to WRITE or to PLAY anything in Warrants catalog. To even compare the musical chops of Jani Lane and Kurt Cobain is a joke. Jani in a first round knockout.
Warrant's career began 5 years too late. If they would have released DRFSR, Cherry Pie, and Dog Eat Dog in the mid to late 80's instead of the late 80's to early 90's, they would have had three massive, hit albums under their belt and more momentum to carry them through the 90's. As it was, Dog Eat Dog didn't sell, they moved to an indie label and put out 2 albums that tanked, and they slid into oblivion. Sad. Jani wrote some of the great melodic songs of all time, and a bunch are on DED.
Great rock album - great songwriter and great voice. God Bless him and his family. If you are reading the comments - check out "Stronger Now" - absolutely beautiful. I saw Warrant in 2002 (one of many Warrant shows) - Jani gave me a drumstick and took pics with me - the guy was top notch. Thank you for the music.
sad to see him now...................Brett is the only one who still looks and acts like a rock star...........well of course J Bon Jovi...........the are still the most successful....I luv warrant just as much but they just didn't have the staying power
This record was so so awesome in the moment. All their records show growth as players...but this one.....this one really made a statement about how much they had grown. It had MAGIC!! Which is so rarely found these days. All that road wh*ring payed off.....and o yeah....OMG this cat can write!!
This is janies soul by far his best in my opion but i dont want to give all the credit to jani because the rest of the bands music brings this song to life
these hair bands (and Jani was one of the best at it) can wrote the shit out of a beautiful ballad, I'll tell you that. Who can write like this today??
grunge musik was an ultimate killer of all good musik was on air before mid-november 1991 when nirvanna was sadly no 1 whit the little help from majors. yeah almost 20 years we endure all this crappy top 40-realty show etc etc ...... anyway sad but true chrisquick
long live to our memories
this kinds of band make us alive and they desserve all our appreciation
a song with meaning...and a great one at that...thanks for the memories,Jani...you won't be forgotten...peace

I think the album was underrated......Bitter Pill is great. Ok the German opera I don;t get, but love the rest of it so it didn't distract me much.

@hannon14760 I agree. I'm in the minority but I liked dog eat dog better than cherry pie.
