@GeneralofFlight You can. You set them up with the ILS frequency. I don't remember the setup process to good because I haven't flight sim'd in a good while now.
@GeneralofFlight you can. if the runway has an ils.....its somewhere in the settings when you are flying and you can activate them and make them going along with the nav1/2 or any other radio i think.....you can also select the 'hoop' type but im not so sure on that one
@dzill2 you might want to put that idea out on some of the flight sim forums, someone may be interested in (or even already have) making an addon for that
I like Rod as my flight instructor, I feel as if I have a real flight instructor. The private pilot lessons made me a better pilot overall in flight simulator.
lol Rod doesn't like my touchdowns. My landings are not perfect but they are not hard to. I always try to land as smooth as I can and than the big moment comes where the tires touch the ground the mission fails because of a bad landing ^_^
@Flightkid9 Having something like this with a real instructor instead of a boring tutorial is really helpful for new ones and long time sim pilots to go back and brush up on some skills :)
By the way you flared WAY to high, you should have a 30 degree nose down angle at the runway for most of the decent, and then at about 40 ft off the ground level off and then at about 10ft off the ground you should start you flare, you were also kind of fast. It was a nice landing and approach but it was the wrong teachings.
@Flightkid9 Nope i mean 30 degree nose down. In a little Cessna that really isnt that much. Hopefully on Monday i will upload a video of me actually flying in the real world and on my approach you can see what a 30 degree nose down looks like it isnt that much, if you flare to high you will stall out really fast! Pitch Controls Airspeed, power controls altitude as he says in this tutorial. So you got to point that nose down to keep up your airspeed for the flair, which should be 60knts =)
@GeneralofFlight haha sorry i didnt mean WRONG teachings i shouldnt have put it that way, I was just trying to give some advise sorry i didnt mean it in any bad way what so ever! no hard feelings?
@GeneralofFlight Its going great! Stay tuned to the channel because i just got a new HD1080p Head Cam so i am going to record my flight so you can check it out on my channel! I am flying on Monday so hopefully it could be up on Monday or on Tuesday if everything goes to plan!
All these lessons do is piss me off! your off by 1 degree and you get " im sorry were going to have to do this late BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!"

Is it possible to get the magic hoops in free flight? they would be handy for practicing landing in difference planes :)

@dzill2 I was always wondering that as well but i don't think you can.

@GeneralofFlight Damn D: it would be very handy when downloading a new plane.. and flying/landing it for the first time :/ oh well.
