As for everyone, the memories are overwhelming. Playing vanilla wow made you feel like you were walking in the world itself. Everything faded except the screen. The feeling you really were a mage, rogue, warrior wandering around in a dangerous world which was so big, it seemed to have no limits. The world drew you in, and you drew the world in your mind.

I always remember on my first char and my only ever main char, Human Warrior running from Northshire to Stormwind to hand in a quest and seeing a 60 elf on a tiger mount running out of the gates of SW.. I couldn't believe it...the game hadn't been out long, 2 months or so.
Oh man, I remember this screen. ^^ Brings back so much memories. Memories of mainly sitting next to my friend and watch him play but still. I think I have never thanked him for bringing me to WoW. :p

I haven't seen the BREAKING NEWS message board in a long time. Blizz doesn't give any news like this anymore except on Tuesday mornings when they're doing maintenance. I remember they'd have the long list of "these following realms are experience difficulties and will be up shortly". Or some other random news, but I liked it because it made me feel Blizzard was keeping up with us, and there when I would log in.
I remember getting the game im sure it was vanilla/Pre burning and when i finally got the game installed and this log in screen came up it blew my balls off i LOVED Vanilla and i LOVED TBC then there should have been no more expansions
Damn... reminds me of the glory days, though I don't know why I like the burning crusade login screen music so much better though :-( Guess i'll never know, damn blood elves ruining the horde for us! I remember when we were all hordish races and not pretty ally elves in the horde...
I also remember when you actually had to run to the BG entrances in order to get in que. Running across barrens as a low level to que for WSG was somnething different. As disturbing as it might sound, vanilla wow is a "milestone" (of sorts) in my life. It's something I look back on and having the sensation of: "This was worth spending my time on, and boy... I loved it". Never again will I feel this strongly for World of Warcraft. Getting a bit teary eyed from this video, even though it's a game!

I never got too experience vanilla WoW but i have read some comments saying vanilla was fun and harder and stuff, i started wow in june 2010 i have a level 52 warlock. I would like somebody to explain the diffrenses of wotlk and vanilla please.

I used to be a GM back in pre-bc. Installed WoW first day it came out. Right created my human paladin i studied and studied WoW. About 1 week later i created a guild and it grew MORE and MOR very day. we did deadmines, BFD etc. But then, when we raided BWL AQ20/40 the guild fell apart because it was too hard.
I really wish Blizzard would make a seperate server just for Vanilla WoW, but then I bet a lot of people wouldn't play the normal ones, so they'd lose out on the money for Cataclysm. Really miss the good old days, they were a lot of fun, unlike now :(

I hate when people on the forums are accusing people of having nostalgia and that WoW back then wasn't more epic and fun. IT WAS. Sure some nostalgia comes into it but the attunements, the hard work, the travel times made the game feel epic and grand, droprates were bad, there were no emblems but when you finally got your gearpiece or weapon you felt like you accomplished something unlike now when every idiot can get awesome gear without having to work months on tactics. Wow lost its epicness.

I hate when people on the forums are accusing people of having nostalgia and that WoW back then wasn't more epic and fun. IT WAS. Sure some nostalgia comes into it but the attunements, the hard work, the travel times made the game feel epic and grand, droprates were bad, there were no emblems but when you finally got your gearpiece or weapon you felt like you accomplished something unlike now when every idiot can get awesome gear without having to work months on tactics. Wow lost its epicness.

Back when this login screen looked more epic than the wotlk does whenever i see this i felt my first time making my human lock or orc warrior and making me feel that the game is epic with this screen but in WotLK it makes me feel sick!

blizzard did think of making a Pre-BC server but soon they thought that all the new content that we make is left behind all the time and focus on Pre-BC and that means less money income so thats why maybe we can beg them
