  • Hi Jenna, Dont worry about the negative comments. Some people just dont understand the Red. Glad to see another vid from you. Great job!

  • Oh Jenna! Do not listen to other people.....Hey Girl so glad to hear back from you on Vid 8! You are doing great,

  • Dear Jenna,

In a way it is great you have not posted any new flood problems since that suggests there are none. However, we need to know an ending of the saga and that you and family are fine. I keep searching for your next video so let us all know - please please.

Best of All Good Wishes, Duratkin

  • Fabtastic job Jen!

Between Whapeton and the Hudson Bay live one million of the worlds best people, sharing one river, stretching two nations.

Thank you so much for putting your story on video for the world to see.

  • Awesome job!

Thanks for making me feel like I was back home!

To you and all the friends and family I have back in the homeland, I salute you! I've been glued to KFGO on-line since Wednesday and it's warmed my heart to see my folk again rise to the occasion, I remember the comrodery as well as the frustrations and exaustion of being in Mhd. in 97, as well as some moderate Summer floods up in Hawley in 1975.

Heroism is grasping the opportunity to meet the challenges head on as they come.

  • Thanks much for the update again. Prays still going out for all of you. Glad its going well.

Outstanding reporting btw!!!! Your much better than what we hear on the news! Tks.

  • Hi Jenna,

We've been getting the news of the flood in Sydney Australia.

I just wanted to say that my family and I are thinking of you, your family and all of the emergency workers and citizens of Red River Valley etc.

Thankyou for doing such a wonderful job of not only helping out physically but also providing excellent video footage to the world.

    A magnificent effort!

    Regards Jim

  • Jenna - as an NDSU Alum, the F-M area will always have a special place in my heart. Your insights during this devastating event has been a wonderful way to connect. I'm glad the news is getting better each day. I hoping that the extremely heavy snowfall today will have a minimal impact on the Red. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!!

  • Thankyou Jennalee! My sister, Grandmother, and Uncle all live in Fargo/Moorhead and I have been very concerned for them and feel like I can't do anything because I live in Alabama. Please keep keeping us updated. It really means the world to me. You have answered more questions that I had than any amount of describing my family can do. Bless you!

  • I'm a Desert Storm veteran and vividly remember those sleepless nights after a back breaking day filling sandbags. If one more set of prayers was required to hold that river back, you just enlisted me, Jennalee! I applaud your effort for making me feel like I was there and sincerely hope tonight's forecast winds and storms have no effect on you guys. Thank you for the insight and rest assured I will be thinking about you and yours down here in San Antonio, Texas. Que Dios los proteja...!

  • Like the smile in the face of challange. I do have to admit to watching you almost tear up on a few occassions. I hope when the snow melts that this doesnt happen all over again.

    Keep your walls up!

    God Bless

  • Thank you Jennalee. I've been watching your reports from about 4000 miles away in the south of England. The parochial media here gave us about 2 minutes coverage of the Red River in Fargo last Saturday, and that was it. No more. Your reliable continued reporting has been truly very good . . . . . . and now that conditions in Fargo seem to be improving, it is proving to be quite reassuring too. My best wishes to you and yours, and my sincere thanks for what you have done. I shall stay tuned.

  • I agree with ANewDayForAll. This video diary has been a tremendous piece of journalism. It captures what so few commercial journalists can - the human impact of the flood - you've spent the time to share your life with us. I feel like I know your family and we're all pulling for you. Keep the commentary coming. Thanks.

  • Thanks for sharing your personal diary. You continue to communicate the epic that is this flood.

  • There should be an award for citizen journalism...

  • YES! River Down, Jennalee UP! I love your videos, style, demeanor, comments, and honesty.

May you find great comfort from doing the videos and from the appreciative comments. Perhaps they can help make the waiting easier.

  • Another Thanks for your efforts and great effrts. Besides all the work on your house and neighbors you still have time to keep us all posted. I've done river rescue work most of my life and I know how stressing it can be. Take care, Be Safe and stay warm. Thanks again for keeping us informed. Great use of You Tube!

  • You are a great reporter! You make it real, not like CNN and you know enough not to walk on the sand bag levee. This is the stuff I go through now and then. Wait and watch. Keep up the great work and I wish you all the best.

  • Thanks Jennalee, your videos have been outstanding!! I lived in Fargo many years ago, now in Wisconsin. What softens my heart and encourages me is what I see through your video, people coming to gether to help each other. While what you are going through is awful, there is a greater picture of goodness we rearly see in humanity. God has blessed you all with a picture of the good side of humanity. Thanks to all of you in Fargo for showing us how to respond to disaster..Thanks!

  • Jennalee, Ive watched all 7 video's your so calm in the face of a challenge I admire you so MUCH!! I wish you all the best.

  • Thanks for another awesome video...lots of good information! Thanks for sharing!

  • Awesome job....better than the news. Looking forward to seeing the next "report", best of luck to you and your community.

  • Thank you so much for your videos. I live in Santa Monica, CA and I am originally from Bismarck. I appreciate your description and information that you have shared. My brother was evacuated from Bismarck because of the Missouri River flooding. I wish that I could've helped out in both situations. I know it is a tough job. I was a sandbagger in '97 I hope that you have as many volunteers to help with the clean-up. I look forward to watching the river go down. Best of luck!

  • You would make a great reporter!

  • This is a great diary of the devastating news in the Fargo Moorehead area! Some of the information is better than the local news stations. Good luck and we are all thinking of you. Hopefully this will be over soon, the cleanup can begin in some preparations can be done before the next big flood.

  • Jenalee,

I really appreciate your discipline to do these videos. I can imagine that there have been days where you really thought about skipping but you didn't. You have presented a very personal insight into what it means to be in a flooding area.

I am hooked and I have been promoting you to my friends here in the Twin Cities. The Mississippi is high but still a long way from any major flooding down here.

    God's Peace!

    David Fitch

  • Awesome Vids have watched them all, great news that the river going down faster then it rose up.

  • YAY river going down.... hope it stays that way!!! Thanks for keeping us updated! :)
