Wow. I can't believe they completely covered up the side art, changed the marquees, and changed the game in a Mortal Kombat machine. Who could do such a thing?!?
I was going to buy an MK 1 cabinet just wondering if you can give any tips in what to look for when buying because I know this are 20 years old like the outside of it is obvious but as far as the inside what do i look for and Im i getting a good deal there selling me one for 500 bucks
i love finding out games are original and someone converted it to something else.. its like a xmas present when you pull off something to reveal the stickes hehe
@RobbRR1 They were all planned on being personal machines, but I ended up selling almost all of them off because they never got played, plus I had my Mame cabinet, so it really didn't make sense to keep them all.
sideshows that are on youtube. listen up. this is how its done. sequentially. just enough time to take in each pic. not too much or too little. and some BGM to go along with it!
Speaking of Tekken,YourMKArcadeSource do you like it? And I myself have seen a MK Cabinet converted to Tekken.Someone had a MK2 or MK3 cabinet and made it into a cabinet for Tekken 3 and posted it up on ebay about a year ago.
@Jamari0306 Never really played it for any period of time. I always thought the animation was bad. Really bad polygon animation in my opinion. I guess I got spoiled with the live action capturing for the MK characters.
@YourMKArcadeSource I thought Tekken was a great but it could be better game. But when I played Tekken 3 it blew my mind. Tekken 1 and 2 were sluggish and it took you a long time to get up.Tekken 3 and after bombed the arcades and I played them like hell. After Tekken 3 I saw Tekken as a fighting game equivalent to Mortal Kombat. Which Tekkens did you play?
I was looking at buying a mortal kombat II machine. I found one that has a grey control panel for the controls is that orginal or is this a cabinet that was converted to Mortal Kombat II. If it is converted I wonder what machine it orginally was. On KLOV they have a picture of this machine I wonder if its an earlier version of the cabinet?
I have seen that KLOV pic and that particular one (2nd pic from top) is NOT an original Midway MK2 cabinet. The other 2 pics ARE. Guess they let you upload even conversion cabinet pics or someone let it slip by. I have seen those type cabinets housing MK2 a lot. I think someone told me it was a "Dynamo" cabinet, which is a specific arcade cabinet manufacturer apparently.
