  • I thought at first you were bobtailing, but then I saw you were draggin a wagon. How long was the trailer? I gotta say you handled that thing like you knew every inch of that hill.

  • I liked the complete stop @ 3:00. After all that 4 wheeler was 20 feet away from the edge, wouldn't want them to panic or anything. Would've done the same, loldrivers.

  • hell ya man we have been drivin that road every week for 12 years the narrows right in the middle are the best pullin a 57' spread axle drop deck comin up and the tires go spinnin off the side haha but that little trruck your drivin probably has a better turning radius than my old W900 haha

  • looks like Gran Canaria 1984 :)

  • My grandpa rolled his truck off that road a long time ago, survived to tell the tale. I've heard (and I don't know since I never get the time to go there) that you can still see his wrecked truck there? That'd be cool and scary to see! Good ol San juan county!

  • One of the best roads in the USA . Done it many times and every time seems better!! check out goose neck canyon at the bottom of the dugway! awesome also

  • best youtube vidie of the decade

  • Wow. I drove up that in a rental car back in the late 80s. Had no idea it was coming. We were just driving along through Monument Valley and the road kept getting closer and closer to this huge wall. As we got closer we saw something shiny half way up it and then realize HOLY HELL WE ARE GOING UP THAT WALL.

Thanks for the vid. Gotta get out that way again sometime.

  • @poncewattle I just read your comment and it feels like you're telling my own experience of mokee dugway. Same drive toward the wall not knowing that i was going to climb it. I left the car in the parking at the bottom and started up on foot telling myself (i'm not driving up that thing in my living days) until i saw that old toyota going up and driving by me. I went back down, made a payer and drove up the scariest 3 miles of my life!!!!!!

  • Sounds good

  • I miss the good old day, wakin up at the butt crack of midnight and takin off on the ice runs up lake. We should jack the ice truck and make a run for old time sake. What do you think halfbreed?

  • My friends run the snow plows that keep this road open in the winter. My hat is off to them. They have some pretty good stories to tell. I wish they would shoot a video and post it. Would be something to see. Thanks halfbreed for posting this one.

  • Yeah I've heard stories of the snow but never experienced it. I would like to see a snow video.

  • The thing that freaks me out about roads like that is that i'm in a big rig that's very heavy. I worry that the road will crumble.

  • I never tried this, I figured that I would get the trailer hung up in one of the switchbacks. This is the hard way to miss the Montecello scales!!! LOL. How about the North rim of Black Canyon in Colorado?

  • on my way up the moki this weekend...exploring dark canyon....I have been most everywhere one can go in the west/southwest...muley point and surrounding is my fave...feels like your on top of the world, a great attitude adjustment....interesting post, the creed is painful but the video of the ride is cool:-)

  • The creed wasn't my choice. The original music was cool but I got pinned for copyright infringement. So I had to change it.

  • i've driven up the moki once and down twice; one time while driving a 31ft motor home. i love that road almost as much as i love that entire part of utah!

  • okay, i'm hoping somebody was driving and SOMEBODY ELSE was holding the camera?!!

  • as shaky as the camera is I doubt it lol

  • we saw a car that rolled off it was completly demolished and then i got scared cuz we were in a snow storm

  • This road deserves every homage it can get (and your video definitely gets the blood flowing :). I drove down this road on a fully loaded motorcycle and crawled down while video taping it. Speaking of which, I'm you don't mind I'm going to steal the "Higher" idea from you.

  • No prob bro. I originally had a nice medley with some superman and old school trucker tunes, but I got hit with copyright infringement thus the "higher" but it works.

  • I drove that when i was out on a geological survay with the University of buffalo, yeah its quite a drive, i cant imagine what truckers go through when on it.

  • Bro!, I grew up near there, in the small town of Mexican Hat, whooh! Mexican Hat!!!, haven't been there in a while though, but awesome vid, but just try going through there during the winter times,... Tons of funn!...

  • c'est nul trp mmee

  • I've been on worse than that and I'm 15.

My dad's an ice road trucker and we go throught worse than that just to get to the ice.

I bet you've never even heard of tombstone mountains or the Dempster highway.

  • It really is scarier than it loooks. I wasn't by any means trying to discredit ice road truckers I admire and respect them and all truckers as well. But I thought that people who watch ice road truckers would appreciate this video as well.

  • You are one crazy truck driver!

I wonder what the people passing you said?

  • What did you do, lose a bet? Crazy as hell, but damn cool anyways!

  • Sweet dude I've been on this road I can't imagine it in a semi truck. Right on brother!

  • Don't miss. Cool vid.

  • wow. It would freak me out just WALKING this crazy road. i hope the driver wasn't the one trying to use a camera and drive on that road (which really needs a fence or something on the side. someone's going to get sued when people falloff that...)
