this music sucks.... BTW you can "refill" the filter with activated charcoal and mabe 1cc of vegetable oil on the first layer to help filter out a lot of molecules.

@tricianovak No filter is safe to use past expiration date. Since the materials making it safe might've/will have broke down. Thus allowing harmful stuff through.

the GP5 gas mask filters are safe... they were made in 1970+ and they stopped using asbestos shortly after WW2

the first layer is made of 20% asbest[cant burn] and 80% filter paper.

If ou dont beleve me, tr to burn the first layer, it don´t work.

I worked in a gasmask factory in 1989.

In the gp-5 series, there are no Asbestos..

Asbestos was forbidden in gasmasks since 1969 (DDR) and 1979 (BRD)

so they are are free.

I have 30 new one from the 2nd ww at home.

the (my) filters are 100% save!

@1picrick there is only 2 kinds of russian filters 1:the normal soviet standard filter(the one for GP-5,PMK,GP-7,GP6,etc and the second filter is the PBF cheek filter

1. 26-586-3-79 ( N and E at top )

2. 90-145-1-80 (3 and 67 at top )

3. 76-231-7-81 ( N and ? at top ) they each have a 7 at the top O_o
