To be fair, Dow chemical spent over 1 BILLION dollars in R&D last year... and it is the STATES, not the Federal Government that is responsible for education...

economics is not zero sum: becoming wealthy as a nation doesn't necessarily take away from other nations. especially in these times. the world is interdependent.
