Every video I've watched, the crew speak German with each other, and in interviews. I know it's a German airline, but other overseas carriers like Emirates speak English in both interviews and cabin crew conversations.
@Lufthansa631 I wanted to work for Lufthansa as cabin crew. I still want to. They do a phone interview in German first. And in English. But the most important for them is German. They speak German amongst them. English is important too, but kind of secondary for Lufthansa. And when you are in Germany, everything is in German. Training etc... Emirates, Qatar etc are international, Lufthansa is very German, with most employees being German citizens.

@tubebaloo I think that you have got my comment wrong. I was saying that there is a big difference between Lufthansa and Emirates. Lufthansa is German, and Emirates is quite "international". I was saying that german is very important here. But the funny part of it is that I myself come from Mauritius, and there the people speak English, French and Creole. I thought it would be easy in Germany, because everybody in 2011 is supposed to speak at least a little bit of english. That's not the case.
@tubebaloo So to stop being treated as an alien from another planet, I had to learn German in only 10 months, which is not easy when you already have 3 languages in your head. Even my teachers are amazed by that. They were lovely!

@Guilland23 if you haven´t worked for them jet why do you know it. actually what you said wasn´t right. every important order is given in english and the briefings are held in english too. if there´s just one single crewmember who doesn´t know german the entire crew speaks english. of course they speak german in their breaks if there isn´t any non speaking crew member around.
@MsLufthansa1997 Actually, what you said isn't right either. The first telephone interview is in german and english. Both are very important to Lufthansa. So I don't think that there's a cabin crew member speaking only english there...

Nein. Das Tragen einer Sehhilfe ist bei verminderter Sehschärfe sogar (eventuell) notwendig. -Dabei liegt die Betonung auf "Sehhilfe", was auch Brillen einschließt, denn nicht jeder verträgt Kontaktlinsen. Kurzum: ja, Flugbegleiter der Lufthansa dürfen eine Brille tragen.
Ich hätte vor Frau Katja auch Angst, obwohl ich bin keine 20 mehr. Sicher ist es ein harter Job in einer schweren Zeit. Sie sagt ja nichts falsches, aber so Errrrrziehermäßig. Der Job schlaucht wohl mit der Zeit und verdient besondere Anerkennung. Jedoch würde ich mich, wenn ich als Gast ein Problem hätte, beispielsweise auf Langen flügen regelmäßiges Essen und Bewegungsfreiheit wegen meiner Gesundheit bräuchte, an den männliche Purser wenden, ist Vertrauenssache :) Ernst genommen werden !!

@20Airliner01 Für diverse Airlines trifft das zu. Da braucht man zunächst eine Berufsausbildung! Lufthansa fordert das im Moment jedoch nicht und deshalb kann man direkt nach der Schule 'an Board' ;)
Mein Gott ist diese P1 (zweite Chefstewardess) unsympathisch... die hält sch auch für besonders toll und wichtig... was für ne verbissene schnalle... Hilfe...
