hey umm i did what u did. and i opened the file of the camcoder. but i cant view the videos. can u tell me why? it has a lot of videos but non of them are viewable.

can this be used for a camcorder that takes tape to record? like can i hook up the firewire cable and record even though my camera takes tapes? no cds or digital storage

Is that Vista on your PC ? I have just put Windows 7 Ultimate on and nothing registers. My camcorder is Panasonic and they say no plug ins available. Any ideas or shall I buy a burner. John

Are all firewire cables that connect to the camcorder the same? Or do you need the right cable for the right camcorder? Thanks!
