When I was a kid in the late 50's and 60's, vaccinations made me delirious for up to 3 days. My sisters just felt poorly for a few hours and had sore arms. I have had immune problems since age 14. My son seemed to react poorly to them also. We gave up on them at age 7. He is on the autism spectrum. We spent in the 6 figures on his medical bills. He's gluten/casein free, and got remarkably better after chelation by an M.D. (environmental med). He's still Autistic, but not much.
There is a reason why the Dr. has the parent sign a release. There is a subset of children who will be damaged. I believe there are some who have a genetic predisposition. Add an insult to a developing immune system and problems will occur. My ex can be exposed to all types of insults, and not show damage. I and my son are sensitive. The Poling family settled a case out of court that clearly indicated that vaccines have caused autism. I believe I was referring to the fact that there is a very large percentage of the autistic population who have received vaccinations. While most children are vaccinated, some are not, and, of this number, very few have developed autism. In itself, this is not a truly outstanding point, but an interesting one. For example, if a very large percentage of autistic children had never been vaccinated, that would be a very outstanding argument against the connection between vaccines and autism.

When I was a kid in the late 50's and 60's, vaccinations made me delirious for up to 3 days. My sisters just felt poorly for a few hours and had sore arms. I have had immune problems since age 14. My son seemed to react poorly to them also. We gave up on them at age 7. He is on the autism spectrum. We spent in the 6 figures on his medical bills. He's gluten/casein free, and got remarkably better after chelation by an M.D. (environmental med). He's still Autistic, but not much.

There is a reason why the Dr. has the parent sign a release. There is a subset of children who will be damaged. I believe there are some who have a genetic predisposition. Add an insult to a developing immune system and problems will occur. My ex can be exposed to all types of insults, and not show damage. I and my son are sensitive. Like the previous poster said, it comes at a cost. After massive intervention, my gifted Asperger son just might make it. I can only pray and educate.

There are a lot of families that have evidence that there children became autistic immediately after vaccination. The Poling family settled a case out of court that clearly indicated that vaccines have caused autism. But the judge was very careful in explaining that it was only responsible in this particular case. And this is also a clear indication of all of the fears regarding liability in this case. While it may be true that childhood vaccination may save lives, it comes at a cost.

I believe I was referring to the fact that there is a very large percentage of the autistic population who have received vaccinations. While most children are vaccinated, some are not, and, of this number, very few have developed autism. In itself, this is not a truly outstanding point, but an interesting one. For example, if a very large percentage of autistic children had never been vaccinated, that would be a very outstanding argument against the connection between vaccines and autism.

You are lying. The government decided to set up a special court for vaccination claims because, much like workman's comp claims, it doesn't make sense to litigate those claims to their end. It's cheaper and faster to just settle. In most of those cases, if they could go to trial, the plaintiffs would lose because they can't demonstrate causation.

If they care about their children's health, they do. AAP also doesn't advocate not getting vaccinated for the flu, which kills 36,000 each year. If you have any proof to back up your absurd accusation by all means sue them. But I suspect you don't & you're just a libelous internet troll who got their medical education from Google University. That you put more trust in Ms. McCarthy's medical opinion than one of the most reputable medical institutions in the world speaks volumes.

The flu doesn't kill anybody. Complications from it does - pnemonia is the actual killer. I'd be interested in hearing your credentials for your "medical education". A libelous internet troll? Ha. I am the mother of a vaccine injured 3-year-old who now has a speech delay due to her DTaP vaccine. Wrong, the flu kills 36,000 a year all by its lonesome. Get a real education. Attacking people's character & accusing them of crimes in print w/o evidence is potentially libelous. Your child wasn't injured by vaccines & no properly peer-reviewed comes close to backing up that assertion. I believe vaccinations are important, but also that vaccines as they are aren't good enough. Ingredients like mercury, anti-freeze are toxic to life. The sooner the establishment recognizes this, the sooner we can work on cleaning up the vaccines and SAFELY vaccinating people.
Still, hope that Jenny's message about diet isn't lost in all the vaccine talk. Toxins, whether taken in through needle or by mouth, are destructive. Not just talking pesticides and preservatives...

Doctors dished out Thalidomide prescriptions like candy in the 50's, only back then the knee-jerk conservatives like you called women who refused it "flighty" and "hysterical." And the numbers of American children NOT being vaccinated are starting to creep up as parents become informed and lose children to vaccines. The average time it takes for a 2-month-old to die from a reaction to a DTaP vaccine is 6 hours. No correlation though, right?

3 things are clear:
1. she has no clue autism comes with the genes
2. vaccines are safe and the whole medical world knows that and worries about this new "antivaccine" movement
3. autism cannot be cured, just the ability to function with the condition can be improved
What is worse:
