  • Hi

  • I TOTALLY LOVE HOW YOU MADE THE RECIPES AND PUT IT ON YOUTUBE FOR US!!!! SUCH AN AMAZING THING YOU DID!!! I don't have a mom to teach how to make khmer food... long story but I am glad I can learn it here... So, THANK VERY MUCH!!! LOVE IT!!!!

  • Outstanding

  • love it

  • what kind of fish do you use?

  • @lienthily I use the 3-crab brand -- just habit because growing up Mother used that ehehe

  • it's very tasty,..love it

  • hi khatiya thanks for posting up this dish ive always wanted to learn how to make it i got a couple question, how did u cook the fish? and how much amount of pahok and boiled water do you use to make the pahok sauce?

  • @sunnysouk4 In this video I used a store bought fish which I had them clean and fry for me. You can do it yourself at home or grill it instead. The instruction on how to make the Pahok Sauce is also mentioned in the video. It just depends on how much a Pahok lover you are. Some people put more Pahok and less water while other use more water is less pahok. You can also check out my website in case readers have similar comments about this recipe. Thanks!

  • @sunnysouk4 The fish I used is Tilapia. I took the shortcut and got it fried at the supermarket. All the measurements and more detail on the recipe can be found on my website. Thanks!

  • this looks soOoOooo good! i miss my gramma, she loves tuk kroeung! my mom also taught me to make a bootleg variation using canned tuna for those lazy days when you wanna whip up something quick!

  • @chunlyda Nothing wrong with the bootleg version LOL. Actually when I grow up, most of the time my Mother use the bootleg recipe. It's quick and easy.

  • nicely done khatiya.. looks yummy and mouth watery.. kimshhawnee.. i sub to your channel..

  • i liked it, but just a little bit too salty, so I guess next time I will add less salt!

  • would any kind of fish work for this recipe

  • @jevitmuy I used Tilapia but my Mother had used catfish and even Mackerel (from the can) as well.

  • i like eating tuk kroeung with only cucumber. The cucumber neutralize it with the spicy, sour flavor.

  • Cucumber was my 1st veggie with tuk kroeung... as the time goes by I learned how to enjoy more and more veggies.

  • wow, even a barang like myself, who loves Cambodia (and the food as well) can whip up some traditional Khmer food for my honey. Not long ago there was nothing Khmer food-wise on the net, happy there is now. THANKS !!!

  • ពេលមើលម្តងៗចេះតែលេបទឹកម៉ាត់ !

  • mmm.. LOVE tuk kroeung!

  • Me too ... well once in awhile. I made it for two days in a row. Thanks for watching.

  • I had posted a comment last night and rated it 5 stars, but don't know why it didn't show up. So here I go again....this is one of my favorite dishes and I'm so glad you're making Khmer cooking tutorials so that I can learn from you b/c your videos are very easy to follow and great editing.

  • Sorry Bong, I had to reup the video because the 1st one was distorted =(. That's the thing with Youtube, it looks all good but after you upload it changes and when you find out, it's live already. Thanks for watching. I appreciate your comments ja. =)

  • You're very welcome and I can't wait to see more videos from you. So are you going to be like me and not show your face in front of the camera when cooking? Hehe!

  • LOL - I haven't got to that stage yet.. for now, it's just written instructions, then probably move to voice over and then full body - just maybe eheheh

  • You sound like me...hehe! I'm at the 2nd phase now where I'm doing voice over b/c me and my dorky self just noticed that my laptop has built in speakers...duh! LOL! All this time, I could had spoken into it. I was tired of YouTube blocking my videos for copyrighted issues (mainly the makeup ones) and that's why I've just stopped putting music in mines.

  • hey nice video, and i like khmer food alot, regards My Cambodia TV Network

  • =) Thank you! I love Khmer food too - well except some bitter dishes ehehe.
