bailan muy bien solo no apoyes tanto el talón para que no derrapes, tienen muy buena coordinas están un poco descuadrados por el derrape, más punta y menos talón y no tenses los hombros y estará todo perfecto! saludos visita mi canal...

Good dancing. However, the guy shouldn't hold the girl's wrist. It doesn't look good and some cubans will even say that it's rude. I understand that sometimes it's more convenient and technically faster to pull with the wrist, but the more it can be avoided the better.
The guy should hold his upper body straighter, and try to move his legs less on difficult figures. Sometimes he looks like he is stumbling more than he should. It feels that sometimes he is going to fall!!
@Remikarlos actually holding the women's wrist is a unique feature in cuban salsa. I'm currently learning cuban salsa and my teacher who is cuban does that a lot and if you search here on youtube for some videos of real cubans dancing you'll see that they use it too. It isn't meant to look pretty, it's meant to look manly as if telling that the man is in control. As for his upper body I agree with you, he looks like a hunchback
@martins1984 Interesting, my teacher is also Cuban, and insits not to do it (too often) as it can be seen as rude. Salsa has its own ways :-) I've been dancing cuban salsa for a couple of years, and it's a hand technique that needs to be learned. Holding the palm of the girl's hand in order to grab the whole hand quicker :-) Thanks for sharing
@Remikarlos i don't think it looks nice doing it all the time also, but every once in a while it helps when changing hands to make the turns. I took another look at this video and it doesn't look very good i'll give you that, mainly because he's not really holding her by the wrist, in fact he's holding her forearm and that just looks awful,,,

In fact all of you are right and wrong at the same time. There is NO book such as: How to dance casino (cuban salsa) . So everybody dance it like the want. As a women, I have to say that it is a lot more interesting and confortable to dance with a man who can lead with his body instead of his arms. It's less rude ans much smooth. But the good thing with Casino, it's that you can dance it like you want. there is no rules, just music, improvisation and "sabor". Enjoy it!

It depends on how many hours you put in the practice. But around 4 years. You can dance very well after a year and half but to be able to adapt to a new partner easily and to put style in your dancing, it takes around 4 years.
I have to say, I disagree!.. But as you said yourself, it depends on how much you practice and the talent you can produce yourself. But 4 years is a long time based on my observations dancing with friends and being in the salsa inverioment for the past year and a half.

No comprendo mucho del baile, s ve lindo, pero solo fueron figura tras figura, nada de baile juntos, y la el hombre jamás miró a la mujer, no hubo contacto, solo acompañamiento d efiguras, muy bien ella q se deja llevar re bien. Saludos!

You need to understand the beat of the song and how to dance following that beat. Of course there is a way of dancing that you can not by pass. There are certain steps appropriate to salsa that you must know. Then let the beat guide your steps. You dance at the beat of the music. How long it takes to learn?? To some professionals, they are learning every day they dance. To beginners depending on how soon the beat of the music enters into your body. .

@brinn5 It depends on a lot of things, among them, if you have a good teacher, if you practice a lot, and your natural abilities for dancing. But for most of people, 3-4 years.

Good dancing. However, the guy shouldn't hold the girl's wrist. It doesn't look good and some cubans will even say that it's rude. I understand that sometimes it's more convenient and technically faster to pull with the wrist, but the more it can be avoided the better.
The guy should hold his upper body straighter, and try to move his legs less on difficult figures. Sometimes he looks like he is stumbling more than he should. It feels that sometimes he is going to fall!!

@Remikarlos actually holding the women's wrist is a unique feature in cuban salsa. I'm currently learning cuban salsa and my teacher who is cuban does that a lot and if you search here on youtube for some videos of real cubans dancing you'll see that they use it too. It isn't meant to look pretty, it's meant to look manly as if telling that the man is in control. As for his upper body I agree with you, he looks like a hunchback

@martins1984 Interesting, my teacher is also Cuban, and insits not to do it (too often) as it can be seen as rude. Salsa has its own ways :-) I've been dancing cuban salsa for a couple of years, and it's a hand technique that needs to be learned. Holding the palm of the girl's hand in order to grab the whole hand quicker :-) Thanks for sharing

@Remikarlos i don't think it looks nice doing it all the time also, but every once in a while it helps when changing hands to make the turns. I took another look at this video and it doesn't look very good i'll give you that, mainly because he's not really holding her by the wrist, in fact he's holding her forearm and that just looks awful,,,

In fact all of you are right and wrong at the same time. There is NO book such as: How to dance casino (cuban salsa) . So everybody dance it like the want. As a women, I have to say that it is a lot more interesting and confortable to dance with a man who can lead with his body instead of his arms. It's less rude ans much smooth. But the good thing with Casino, it's that you can dance it like you want. there is no rules, just music, improvisation and "sabor". Enjoy it!

@DanselatineCubano I fully agree with you. There is no rule to dance this beautiful dance. However, in my opinion, and on a purely look perspective, I think it looks better not too hold the girl's wrist too much :-)

fantastic video, congratulations Julie i like this so much i have put this on my favourites. you are so right, when dancing with someone for the first couple of times it is not always the perfect match, but anyone would be delighted to dance as good as you and Frank. I am always watching this video to pick up some new moves for me and my wife to practice and to show our friends in our club.

@alekxu Absolutely not. I was just trying to follow him. But when it's the second time or third time you dance with someone, it is not always the perfect match right away. I'm not the kind of girl who does'nt let her partner lead. In the opposite, I teach women how to let the man lead!!! Thank you for your comment.

It depends on how many hours you put in the practice. But around 4 years. You can dance very well after a year and half but to be able to adapt to a new partner easily and to put style in your dancing, it takes around 4 years.

I have to say, I disagree!.. But as you said yourself, it depends on how much you practice and the talent you can produce yourself. But 4 years is a long time based on my observations dancing with friends and being in the salsa inverioment for the past year and a half.
Im not all impressed by this video, though, they got the must important thing going on - which is having fun!!!.

@vicorfabian2 mire, no me explique como hay que bailar...esta claro que el la tiene que llevar y en conjunto no quedan mal pero intenta hacerlo hacerlo tan bien que exagera demasiado todo... y si el video se ve rapido como lo vi yo por primera vez destaca mas ella porque sus movimientos son mucho mas fluidos, y aunque el la lleve bien hace pasos buenos pero muy mecanicos... no prentendia molestar a nadie, pero hay opioniones para todos las criticas siempre son constructivas.

@TheChipendale Ya es bastante con lo que estan escuchando, acaso no ves que las combinaciones EMPATAN MUY BIEN con la musica. Por ejemplo, cuando el le dio el BESO, fue presisamente al final de la frase de la cancion.

Qué geniales pasos! Aunque concuerdo con varios de aquí, les hace falta el sabor, la diversión, la pasión, eso que sientes cuando escuchas la canción. No sólo por el afán de hacer pasos complicados y que la gente se quede con la boca abierta, sino simplemente porque te gusta bailar, por el placer de mover el cuerpo.

Para empezar este baile se llama casino y la salsa es la musica cubana,que yo sepa no hay otra.Por otro lado este senor baila muy bien el casino,pero con su propio estilo.Cada cual tiene su propio estilo.Claro que como bailan el casino los que lo crearon que fueron los cubanos,esto ya es punto y parte.Como los cubanos,modestia y parte nadie baila igual en el mundo.Esto esta probado.Ese es un talento natural que dios nos dio.
