He kept coming back on my lawn to eat the grass seeds, but then fly up into the tree when I got too close. I put out a paper plate with lettuce and banana out, when he landed on the plate, I got close enough to lift it and slowly walk over to my cage I had bought (it had a very big door). I tossed him in and shut the door! I think he was very hungry and wanted a a safe home. He is doing fine! He lets me pet him, tho he is always a little nervous about it.
Just giving u advise the red rump parakeet can die with direct sun light keep it inside in a room temp
