  • Needs more pressure, and needs steam, not air. steam whistles always sounds different if they're on air.

  • sounds like a noisy vacume

not relly railraod fan meterial in my opion......

  • It Sounds Like 1/2 Of An Ah-ooga horn on an old car. LMAO.But its cool nevertheless. :-)

  • Very cool!!!!!!

  • u sound a lil like adam sandler

  • Now try 2 or 3 more cylinders together, but use your round wood chunks up in the top at varying levels to change the pitch. You could end up with a right

    nice chime whistle.

  • cool

  • Lol That's a cute sound.

  • Take a wrench and crank up the pressure, keep trying you,ll get it right. I knowthat the edges of the openings ar cut/bevelled at an angle to kind of slice away at the staem or air rushing up towards it. I,ve estimated the angle at 45 degres on the inner side of the vrtical openings that face down.

  • Steam whistles and old air horns have the wonderful quality of being able to change pitch with pressure. What you got there I'd say would be at home on a steam launch or smaller steam boat.

If you make one out of brass and blow it on steam at around 120-140 psi I reckon you'd get a different sound.
