The Pentagon Papers proved without much doubt that the American government had zero problem with purposefully lying to its people for the sake of a doomed war that greatly enriched only a few while destroying the lives of millions.
I love the character Oddball...but find it difficult to believe he would talk 60's hippy fashion..ie... " making with the negative waves man "..in WW2
Clint Eastwood may have been the headliner for the film. But I think Telly Salvalas, Donald Sutherland, and Don Rickles really make the picture stand out.
He's great in this movie, the best character in it. Also when he poses as a General in the "Dirty Dozen". Don't miss him in the film "Mash" either, which is far superior to the TV series.
Beatniks where the 50s oddball was a time traveller from the 60s he got so high one night at Woodstock that he slipped back in time twenty years and wound up in WW2. Fortunately he was a very laid back hippie so he just took the whole thing in his stride. After all he could live through the 60s all over again.
Only one person is an anti-social type.
