  • just weld it shut n00b...

  • a posi or limited slip differintial will never spin in opposite directions

  • open differential

  • Open weld spider gears

  • open diff , just weld it up ha

  • viscous clutch people

  • 1pinion 1 crown 4 spider =regular, anything added special ...simple eh?

  • open

  • this is a standard differential. no doubt about it.

  • yea thats open diff

  • dude that sucks. sorry you got ripped off.

  • its open diff, you dont see the clutch packs

  • its a open differential

  • open diff... if it was a lsd. at 0.50 the other side would spin the same way,,,,

  • @yemlaeel It's an open diff for sure, but at 0:50 both side are spinning the same direction...

  • Thats an open diff, dead giveaway at 0:50 ;

  • Comment removed

  • @83ls Dead giveaway at 0:05

  • oh and dont weld it spool it!!!!! thats if you dont mind having both wheels spining all the time! NOT GOOD FOR YOUR CAR!!! as every time you go around a courner one wheel will lose traction! spooling is only good for drag strips, drifting and bournouts!

  • @burcotim not good for you car,how soo?I have a 95 FD RX7 and SC300 both with welded diff and never hurt my car.Ok going around turns,ok ill give you that but that has nothing to do with it hurting the car.So plz know what your talking about before you comment and give ppl bad info.

  • @kevin122780 it eats your tires and puts added stress onto your half shafts.

  • @thebluemaggot Very true. Not only that, a welded diff can also make it hard to maintain control on wet pavement and ice. Plus it would add stress to suspension components that could wear suspension bushings and other components prematurely.

  • the cogs you can see in the middle are called spider gears this diff in this video IS NOT AN LSD DIFF an lsd has a heap of springs and in most cases a cluch in the center depending on what tipe of lsd you get! this diff is a 2 way diff or a single spiner!

  • Open diff lol weld it!!!

  • It's an open diff.

Can tell without you even needing to spin it,

there's no "slip limiting" mechanism in there.

  • so open diff is single spinner?

  • open, my wheels spin the same way if i spin one side in my lsd honda

  • open diff

  • LSD...

    both turning the same way

  • Your partly right, but "Both turning the same way" would only matter when he turned the axle and not the input.

See when he spins the side with his hand and the other spins the opposite way? If this was LSD they would spin the same way.

    Its an open diff.

  • i said what lsd is i didnt tell thet its LSD?

  • agreed i like the way u think. limited slip makes that bitch spin on a dime

  • @ShadowwwLFS Posts like yours are made by idiots that have no facts to back up what they say.

Not everyone needs a limited slip or a locker. In fact, VERY FEW people need anything other than an open differential.

Just because a person has an open differential, it doesn't mean they are gay. You post is totally irrelevant and STUPID.

  • @WKHalford cool story bro

  • @ShadowwwLFS It's not a "story". It is FACT.

  • @WKHalford A hypothesis becomes a fact only once it's proven.

  • @ShadowwwLFS @ShadowwwLFS Not necessarily true. Someone that has knowledge about the subject knows what is fact and not fact.

This isn't about hypothetical life on another planet. This is about something that makes sense to people that know vehicles and traction-aiding differentials.

When you said "Open diff is for gays who can't handle their cars", I immediately knew you were full of BS. It's a FACT that not everyone needs a limited slip.

And I haven't seen YOU prove what you said, idiot.

  • @ShadowwwLFS you said that open diffs are for gays who cant handle there cars? uv got to be kidding theres people out there who drift there open diff 240s like they are Limited Slip. id like to see you on the track drifting your car. who knows mabye you could be driving an open diff. that would make you gay would it not. O and then u cant handle the car either so...... POINT MADE?

  • @Steven11525 why so butthurt?

  • @ShadowwwLFS i drive open diff 240 lols

  • @WKHalford "In fact, VERY FEW people need anything other than an open differential." Yes we call these "cars" grocery getters or econo boxes.

  • @thebluemaggot A lot of trucks have open differentials. For instance, big rigs have open differentials. So do dump trucks. I wouldn't exactly call them "grocery getters" or "econo boxes".

  • @WKHalford I seem to recall seeing an 18 wheeler delivering groceries at the Local wall mart just yesterday. =D

  • @thebluemaggot Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

  • @thebluemaggot That's not a grocery getter. That's a grocery GIVER...

  • @WKHalford It had to get the groceries from somewhere in order to give them

  • @thebluemaggot Very true.

But you saw it giving them... ;-)

  • should have welded it

  • open

  • ya open diff if u turn one side the other turns opposite. in lsd if u turn one the other turns the same way

  • Hi got ripped off on Ebay & lost my case sold it as a open 7diff & now putting in a Quaife Diff (£££) !! and thought I would put this up to show others out there..

  • @mac7172

as i know if quaife isnt really a LSD (im speaking from fwd experience with quaifes)

1 can still move in the other direction but it basicly gives power to the tire that has grip or a torque bias

  • @thecrew2999 The Quaife is indeed a limited slip differential. It's a gear driven limited slip (versus a clutch-type limited slip). The Torsen and Truetrac are two other examples of gear driven limited slip differentials.

  • open diff
