On the questions Halunlimited asked, you can't use the Zi8 camera as a webcam by itself. I would think that some sort of interface cables/hardware is out there you could use. Not sure you can connected to a laptop's hard drive directly and record on the laptop's hard drive directly? You can work off and use the a/c power for recording. I have done so when I do my YouTube videos for TFPFP Blog. I'm still very pleased w/ my Zi8 and still give it 4 Stars. The portability of the camera is great.
Good video. What kind of mic did you use? Was the mic on an extension cord and placed near you or was it just a stub sticking out of the camcorder? Also, did you have the mic sensitivity set all the way up on the camcorder?

NightFlare some show a professional video, that was not a kodak, and pushs off as. so if yo like flaring of lights it is Sad of this defect.
