Built up a 65 Impala in '72 that had been a drag car! It was white SS and immaculate, loved that car! I don't believe there was a better looking body made!
Very nice!!! I have a 65" Impala that is in pretty good shape, very restorable. I have a problem that maybe you can help me with. It is not the original motor. I have a crate 350 in it and accelerator pedal slightly sticks. It only sometimes sticks and for a second. It is enough to startle you and be dangerous. I have cleaned the ccelerator linkage off and cleaned it up, the carb seems to be clean. I can't find what is causing this. Did you run into this and if so any suggestions? thanks
@kymwm1971 that happen to me on my 65 impala, but my pedal was stuck all the way down while i was driving it, almost shit my pants.. check all the linkage from the carb to the pedal arm, make sure there is no obstruction in the way. also check the pedal arm coming from the firewall, make sure it does not have a tight movement with out the linkage rod connected. if it is tight, take it out and lubricate the pedal at the mounting plate.

Just sounds like your trottle cable. Maybe the spring. There is not much to it so it should be easy to find the problem.
