I USED TO SEE THEM AT THE "ATTIC" IN GREENVILLE, NC. I WAS IN LOVE WITH JAMES.....JUST WISH I COULD FIND A CD OF SIGN OF VICTORY.....I FOUND LOUD AND CLEAR ON SOME WEBSITE, BUT STILL LOOKING FOR S.O.V.
(con'd) also remembered something, I also met this bass player, who later moved out to Sac for a while in the late 80's. forget his "actual" name, but i just remember James Kottak Calling him,
"Carl" lol not sure why, but...actually heard it once at our rehearsal place. heady days indeed.
believe johnny is back in Kentucky, and settled down. good for him. the "Business" can really beat the shit out of you. trip to see johnny here, even before he played with me, about 22 years ago.
was in a band a few years later called "Northrup" from Sacramento, after Johnny here, and James, the drummer had moved out west. Johnny joined our band (Northrup) and i believe james went straight to L.A. and hooked up with Kingdom come, which began a pretty damn good career.
he's in Scorpions now. Johnny was the best singer I every played with. we "almost" got the illustrious deal, but...... nope. he then got a call from Mick Jones of Foreigner and did a record with with.

If you watch J.K. play today, it's just like in this vid: Same unbridled enthusiasm and power. Awesome.

Was this at the Louisville Center For The Arts? If so, I was there! Spanky Lee and Fire Dept also played. Those were the days!
