  • incredible, for a high school project !

  • pretty goood

  • Love the paintbal helmet lol.

  • ^-^" I miss you guys!!!! We had a great time doing this film it was awesome!!!

    -Vel <3

  • Great work!

  • how long did that take you to make? Also what programs did you use. I'm also thinking about making an animation for my films class. But not sure how to go about on it. Do you have any suggestions?

  • very well done, i like it a lot

  • how u make al that?

  • A lot of hard work and podcasts. Took us a while to get this one done. But we finally managed to finish it. We are currently in the process of making a new movie, a sequal to a previous one called The Wraith. The trailer and the original Wraith can be found on the youtube account thaumatuge365.

  • I love how the she sneaks in just to have the hologram louldy announce that she has not yet been detected. :)

Other then that it is very good.

  • I thought that too, but then I thought maybe she's hearing the hologram inside of her life support mask and later through that earpiece attached to her googles.

Really nice work. Great visuals. I'm blown away that H.S. students did this. Kudos all around, especially for all of the time and effort that went into learning this stuff and using it creatively.

  • Forgive me if you get this twice.

I thought the same thing, but then realized we could be hearing the hologram through her face mask and later the earpiece on her goggles.

Great work all around. Fantastic use of greenscreen/color key. The backgrounds were great and the sound was very clean.

  • AWESOME... you guys are the best...

and like the Lady on TV said...There is no competion in the US .. oh yeah baby! lol

  • Croatia!

  • Brilliant work guys and gals. Cant wait to see what your going to do next!

  • THIS,

(which i stumbled across straight from searching 'sci fi') made a very welcome change from the

usual youtube fayre - more short films like this,

particularly of a sci - fi type, would be most welcome. as a qualified (but not professional)

sound engineer i must salute the guys behind

the audio side of this too, the sounds were spot on and lent a sinister air to the film.

  • Agrande joao Tarouco ehehhe sais ao Pai Beijokas e Parabens a todos que te ajudaram a fazer este video brigado filhote

  • Nice!

  • The is a spectacular production done by a group of high school teenagers. Wow imagine what they could do if the had more funding and resources.

Keep up the good work folks. You have made you parents, fellow students and teachers at your school very proud.

  • This film is great, especially for High school teenagers. Wow, I know their parents are proud of this production and I know they got an A+ for the work on this film. Good job folks and Agent Val is a hot chick.

  • This was great! Keep going with the film making!

  • Nice green screening or whatever method you used. Also liked the sound. I wish I was doing this stuff when I was your age- I'd be making some serious movies by now. Keep up the good work.

  • Great job. Some of the textures in the close ups looked too low rez to be convincing, but aside from that it was very impressive. Next stop Hollywood!

  • Considering that in high school the most I could manage "creatively" was in creative ways to avoid handing in my homework, I can give this no less than five stars.

Even so, these awesome digital effects show one thing for sure -- that computers have come a long way but still can't replace a good writer.

  • Those variable wavelength energy fields are a PITA, I got trapped by one of those right outside the Tannhauser Gate. Good job, everyone involved it's amazing.

  • Good job- wish i could do this stuf :)

  • That was great! I grew up and went to high school in Paterson, NJ, and it irked me then and still irks me now when people assume that no one from places like Paterson and Newark and Camden can have talent and imagination and intelligence. Awesome stuff, guys...

  • Well done, for a high-schooler project!

  • Wow you guys clearly put a lot of time and effort into this film.

    Still, this is incredibly boring.

Before doing all the fancy visuals next time, think about writing an interesting story first. Your talents will be put to better use that way.

  • Fantastic work for a school production! Great job.

  • I 'Dugg' your video. Nicely done. Nice scene transitions and flow.

  • Pretty slick. Throughout it I kept being amazed this was a high school production.

  • Your team made this in high school? Boy do I feel outdated. :/

    Great job

  • Nicely done, all of that hard work showed throughout the video!

  • Hahahahaha! I love the use of that old Cyber Bug remote in the movie.

Very good for an amateur short, I enjoyed it!

  • Uhhhh. That was interesting, though sci-fi shorts usually make up for their length with monologues and not special effects. For HS students I've got to say though: God damn.

  • Good effort.

  • did you do the chroma key in after effects or in final cut?

  • We did our chroma key in after effects cs3, with keylight and color key.

  • Yeah the quality was top notch. I figured you were using something other than the included chroma key in Final Cut. Did you guys use a painted wall or a screen? I'm trying to decide what my class is going to use at my school.

  • thank you very much. No we never use color key in final cut pro actually. We have a huge roll of green paper we hung from the celing, wich we roll now as needed. If it gets torn or ruined we just roll down somemore. May not always give u the best key, but as u can see it very usable. painted wall is sometimes pretty hard to work with, especially if it has texures or things that can cast shadows or stuff.

  • hmmm. I'll have to try that. How do you get that big of a roll. biggest roll I've seen is probably only 3ft. accross

  • We got it at the B&H store in N.Y. i believe its regular green photo paper

  • That was pretty awesome! Well done.

  • I like this, but if I had to criticize: It's pretty slow-paced. If you made this half as long, I think it would be twice as entertaining.

  • Very nicely done! This would cost tens of thousands of dollars to create in the 70s

  • Great work braz070 and team. I'd love to learn more about how you made this. Software, system, how many people/time did it take to produce. Is there a site or related youtube video?

  • thank you, its nice to hear that other people are intrested in this after seeing it. well we filmed everyone on a greenscreen, then in after effects we took out the green and took shots from the spacestation we made in a 3d animation program called maya. wich the spaceship u see in the begining and all the backgrounds of the ship u see were takin from that 3d model we made. after we added all the effects to the diffrent shots in adobe after effects we put it all together in final cut pro.

  • it took about 2 months to do with atleast 25 people. that is workin everyday during and after school even on weekends untill about 8pm. so we can meet our deadline. although we do have a video production class at my school we and out teach all learned this from podcasts wich u can download from itunes and tutorials. this was all done on macs and on those programs i mentioned(adobe affter effects, final cut pro, maya also, photoshop for the still images and textures).

  • u can find tutorial on youtube, itunes podcasts and all over the web.
