I just bought a nice remastered version of this movie and I enjoyed very much. The movies of the Hollywood Golden Era are the proof that movies do not require vulgarity to be funny. Actors from that era were properly trained and they had a lot of talent. We have some very talented actors these days who were properly trained, but not enough. Too many get into movies with no real training and in many cases without any talent.
Well, I have a film class that requires me to watch a few movies and I skip it often. Thanks to this I can now watch it and get a good grade on the exam!
smh, how the HELL those men manage 2 hear above or thru that ruckus, get the names of the paticipants, register & authenticate the finds, while every1's bum-rushing & trying 2 be the 1st 2 win the scavenger hunt, w/o needing, aspirin, jesus juice or crack, is beyond me. cornelia says none of them would like 2 wake up the next morning stabbed 2 death. now THAT would be 1 HELLUVA feat smh, 2 wake up AFTER being stabbed 2 death. saw lil myers & couldnt BEGIN 2 imagine waking from his shit LOL
Thank you for posting one of my all time favorite films of the 1930's. A true gem of that glamorous, elegant era. Carole Lombard, Gail Patrick, Alice Brady and William Powell were a force to be reckoned with. Few had as much talent and beauty as those.
Someone showed me this last year. I was expected a dumb old movie ... I was astonished at the brilliant humour & fantastic acting. William Powell just went to my top 10.
Gail Patrick plays the 'bitch' real well!!!!! LMAO

There's no one like Carole Lombard today. She was a radiant, beautiful actress and made this film so special. Thanks for posting this :)

One of my favorite movies also. I am obsessed with old screwball comedies from the 30's and 40's - this is by far one of the best!
