  • what horn and mouthpiece are u using?

  • that's really cool. i love the interpretation, and i love the the polyphonics. have you any tips to perfecting the teqnique for this?

  • Thats awesome but it doesnt sound like horn lol

  • you handle the low notes amazingly, great playing!

  • Auuugh, please find a brighter/better place to play, you're great and watching a dark video is so much less excitinggg :)

  • What kind of Horn is that? Triple I'm assuming? I'm working on this as well any helpful hints?

  • You have so much talent it makes me want to tacklehug you! I'm so super jealous of your skills :D

  • Sir if I could make half the notes you make I would jump for joy! Moonmatt

P.S. Any tips on making a vibratto.

  • Moonmatt2, Im not entirely sure for french horn, but i would say moving your jaw a little bit (up and down), or if that doesnt work, move your throat in a vibrato like way, like the way singers do. It should work.

  • I'm working on this piece right now and I am interpreting the cadenza similar to the way you are, without the polyphonics. Are there any tricks to getting the lower notes in tune? Specifically the Low G and E.

  • if you use more pressure on your lower lips it sometimes helps

  • dont suppose you have your interpretation transcribed do you? be a fun summer project for me, lol

  • Nope, but if you'd like to send me a finale copy, I'll check it for you, provided it's not rediculously too much work.

It's pretty much what is on the page, but with pazazz!!

  • awesome your not good but brilliant

  • this is fantastic and cool!

  • Thanks!!

  • O.O HOLY CATDIRT. That's fantastic! :D

  • i am a student, playing the french horn and i found this profoundly amazing. haha. i asked my Music professor, and he didnt know how to do this... gah. i would like it very much if you posted/emailed me directions, so to speak, on how to perform this feat.

  • ok, wow. maybe i should read a few more comments before i post things. hahahahahah you sing while you play?

  • Very Nice

  • What note interval do you suggest, or which are you using?

  • I both use and suggest using normal two part harmony. Treat it like a duet, or like double stops on the violin.

    Don't just use static intervals.

  • Wow, those polyphonics really gave it a unique sound. How do you play those? I'd love to learn how. Great job.

  • Nvm I figured them out those are fun!

  • how do you do polyphonics

  • :O man

  • 3:15 to the end!!!! AMAZING

  • you take requests?, malcolm arnold fantasy

  • Daggum. Nice!

  • very cool wish i could do that

  • Could you explain how to play those polyphonic sections?

  • it's basically singing while you play.

  • you should do french horn lessons online, I would watch them and probably a lot more people... I never really had an instructor that was any good at the horn so I didn't really get a chance to learn proper technique...

  • love those multiphonics. Not terribly good at them myself...can play the weber concertino mostly, but some of the multiphonics in the cadenza don't work for me. Can you help me find the chords? Thanks.

  • Send me the music and I'll take a look at it.

  • Who are you? Very nice.

  • haha the funny thing is, add 3-4 times MORE vibrato than in this vid and you have yourself authentic valery polekh. always fun listening to your multiphonics
