@bajablaster ... Rog has plenty of mixup potential in SF4... His high low game is great, his rushdown is actually legit. Look up ice0age balrog if you don't believe me.
Daigo input complicated commands like supers and charge faster than most of the players, probably the fastest. He is able to jump, land and do super without delay and without getting hurt by roundhouse, imo faster than 0.2s to input.
@chocobunneh We ran this off a supergun. It's basically a contraption that runs the game directly off an arcade board. It's not a console at all. It's literally a box with a bunch of wires and boards inside, connected to the arcade board and television. This version is arcade perfect because it's using the arcade board.
This ``super old shit`` requires more skills then any new bs game like the wii or the kinect. All the new platform are for newbs but this old ass game is the roots of fighting game, it started it all , it is also the most respected game in the pro community and YOU noname asshat talk shit about it ? You get your ass whoop in any game by a good sf2 player im sure of it!
@noon3freak hey u old fuck all i said was dhat dat play dis super old shit its 2011 and i dont give a fuck about wadd ur talking about u geek yea so fuck u n were u came from i actually like dis game u piece of shit so go suck a dick

he opted for the better matchup. which is rog vs ryu, favoring rog. this guy plays almost everyone in st. he counterpicked because he can, because he's played rog and whoever else for many, many years.
@mynameistnb oh yeah, definitely, i've seen daigo play boxer numerous times, but i've hardly seen him use ryu recently, even in super turbo... and i've definitely seen him playing ryu vs ryu many times no problem.
@yahoo1o1 Its just ignorance. Mental reaction, physical flexibility, and muscle mass do NOT degenerate over time. This is a proven fact. The only reason people lose muscle mass, mental sharpness, and flexibility is because they stop working there minds/bodies in those areas. Thats why you here of people in there late 80s running marathons and professors teaching until they die. American population assumes you naturally shrink and eventually develop cancer, thats the road humans take; so untrue!
@BimmMasterJ ur a moron, everything degenerates over time, regardless of how hard u work at it. If what your saying is true, we should have 40 years old running the olympics for us. Moron
@BimmMasterJ Cell break down as you get older, this is why people die of old age. Cells make up everything in your body, this incldes muscles and your brain. So yes, they do degenerate over time. If they didn't, people wouldn't get "old". You can run a marathon at 80, but you won't run it as well as you did when you were 20.
@BimmMasterJ Even tough I got your point, you are wrong from a biological point of view. Physical flexibility, Muscle Degeneration and Mental Reaction DO REALLY DEGENERATE OVER TIME. You can reduce the amount of that degeneration by exercising and maintain mental sharpness, but over time your body decreases in capacity and ability because cell death increase and protein production decrease sensibly. Im a molecular biologist, and thats a fact of nature. Otherwise, aging wont occur on people.
@Lautres Yes, very true. I guess I was trying to emphasize that losing abilities as you age, is used as an excuse 100times more then it should be. Your right, we do age and die, but maintaing reflexes, agility, strength, and mental stamina can be greatly prolonged if maintained/exercised properly. Great comment man, and Molecular biologist(?) super tight! gg :)
@BimmMasterJ the fact is that all three of those things declining with age is scientifically proven is disagreeing with you. it is true if you continue to work those areas there will be significantly less decay but you cannot fight time forever.
What makes you think that this Ryu player's dragon punches are a "reaction" to his opponent's moves? They seem speculative to me, and their success rate is low (hence the beating received by Ryu).
@AlmightyDreadlock well damn his success rate is extremely high for speculative efforts. i counted about 8 successful punishes. the number of missed dps should be more if they're speculative, but its less. and so what if he misses a few, you're acting like ST isnt one of the hardest games to react in. ryu recieved a beating because ROG beats ryu HARD in ST, it has nothing to do with reacting. i can show you daigo losing hard to rog in ST he had to counter pick. you sound like u dont even play ST
No, his success rate is not high. In fact, if you look at the few seconds following the 2:07 mark, you will see that Ryu has 4 straight chances to dragon, and fails to do so. It is this poor play which gets him a beating, not some supposed weakness in the Ryu character. The Bison (incorrectly called Balrog) player had his measure. A better Ryu player would dragon more effectively.
You want to count hits and misses, in order to analyse a Street Fighter match? Learn what to count, son.
So, to you, I sound like I don't play this game? How do you figure that? In 2006, before leaving Trinidad to come to the UK, I won the Hyper Fighting tournament, held in our National Stadium. My prize was only $1000, but the triumph of defeating skillful opponents is more important to me than money. Tell me, exactly what is it about what I say that makes you think I don't play Street Fighter?
@AlmightyDreadlock oh please how the hell is he going to react at point blank range. its impossible, hands cant even buffer that fast. thats why i said u dont play ST. im wrong but what you're asking of valle is not realistic. im talking about his reactions when rog tries to get in with the dash point from outside sweep range. the success rate is high. rog is bullying ryu in close, its a common story when he gets in, the character ryu is at a disadvantage at that range. its a bad match up and
@yahoo1o1 this video is proof of that. it has nothing to do with poor play, ryu just has no answers. like i said i can show u the same thing happening to daigo himself and he counter picks cause ryu cant beat rog. this match on average is listed 6-4 7-3 by top players for a reason
I don't doubt those statistics. What I doubt is that Ryu is inherently weaker than Bison. As I watch videos like this, some things Ryu could do occur to me. It always amuses me, though, to see a pattern player get a taste of his own medicine, so I'll look for more videos. Maybe, one day, I'll get a chance to play these guys (although I haven't played for years).
I know it's not humanly possible to counter Bison's charges by reaction, that it's necessary to anticipate them. To me, the Bison player's attack patterns are clear, but evidently not to the Ryu player, whose mechanical skills are impressive, but intuition is not. That's the reason he got his ass cut.
@AlmightyDreadlock why dont u try beating daigo's rog then? 3 time ST evo champ. i also garantee you wont do better than alex. no one is doubting daigo is the better player, my point was about his reactions and your last comment is no longer debating my original comment. its easy to comment, but when rog is in close vs ryu, he can basically do what he what he want. he's faster and has his moves has all the priority over ryu's. most rog players patterns are clear, but stopping it is another thing
@yahoo1o1 like i said its down to the match up, and ryu is outclassed in every department vs rog, especially in close. he cant even zone rog with fireballs due to counters. but rog can easily get in and do whatever he wants. this game is so fast, sometimes you know what you should have done after the fact! rog vs zangief is a different story
i wish rog in SF4 was designed like this. instead, he has no mixup potential and has to rely on turtling
