Is this the most sublime 8 minutes of the history of recorded sound in the twentieth centuary? I;d be very intertested to hear alternate suggestions. Listened to this recording for probably twenty years. There is just something about the aural effect of 1930s recording tech and Beethoven and the string quartet. Everyone shoul;d hear this 5 times before even commenting.
