  • This was one of my favorite bands back in the day.

  • One of the best bands ever..I wish I could have seen them back in the day..

  • Akira Takahashi

  • I still remember the first time I friend of mine showed me this album on casette. This song blew me away, so much energy and melody....Loudness, EZO, they rock!!!

  • Niihara was SOOOO cute back then... :3

    This song is great.

  • there is no reason they shouldn't be rated with the likes of Van Halen and Ozzy Osbourne!

  • Gotta luv Akira

  • awesome! these guys were great. Takasaki was a sick player..

  • japanese know how to rock!

  • These guys rock!

  • this year they opened with a7string growley modern tune, the it was Thunder and lightning pretty much all the way, they played a fabulous show.

  • That man doing the interview is talking at light speed!

  • last time around US they played Crazy Nights and nothing else off Thunder. Nothing off Lightning Strikes. Was a bummer. Hopefully this time around they realize America knows these 2 albums the best.

  • A great band, serious and very skilled players.

  • at 3:09 his tounge sticks out.

    silly asians

  • These guys rock, period.

  • That Lightning album was very good. I still have it. No record player though.

  • Does anyone else find it bizarre that a Japanese band, on Japanese TV, is singing in English?

  • @deslock1 No, because America kicked ass back then.

  • @deslock1 In Japan English is taught as a secondary language. Most can speak it or at the least understand it mostly. American culture is very popular. Odd things that have no significance here are very popular there. Sort of like how Manga and Anime fans buy up Japanese pop culture items.

  • @cmdrdredd erm.... not really. I'm from japan now i live in korea. English is our secondary language not because of "american culture" (can ppl pls stop boasting america on most video). It is because english is the international language. And loudness got their idol from british. Originally, our second language is korea and english is suppose to be optional. But now that two language is a must for us. Sorry my english is bad. im still learning

  • they kick frikn ass

  • 高崎さん、

    とても丁寧に弾いていますね!!

  • They Rocked totally! No apologies, how hard is it to play the world? Judas priest unleashed in the east was probably one of there best albums.

  • good job loudness...

  • I hated this song when Thunder in the East came out. What a disappointment that album was! This sound like a Japanese version of Journey. I liked when they didn't succumb to profit from America. This band was one of the best metal bands ever before they sold out like so many do! Sing in Japanese, WTF do I care? I want solid metal and they had it for years before this crap.

  • @DickLodge68 This song was not on Thunder in the East.

  • @kyleigh3301999 Yep, you're right..I'm wrong. The point I tried to make is that once Loudness became "Americanized", they sucked.

  • @DickLodge68 I somewhat agree. They became more "commercial". But there is just something so cool about Japanese metal bands. Personally I like X- Japan more.

  • @kyleigh3301999 I love the Japanese shows Marty Friedman did....some of the funniest stuff ever...and I don't speak Japanese. I grew up with "Law of Devil's Land" so that's close to my heart.

  • just finished watching youtube video postings of old pre-loudness..."lazy" videos! lol! jackson 5 dance moves...boy band! 70's disco-pop band...cute! then...kaboom...long haired 80's metal band.

  • J MEtal 80's \m/

  • Classic J- METAL \m/

  • I don't speak Japanese but I'm pretty sure he said "we are Loudness and we kick ass"

  • It's pretty amazing that he was singing in English and he didn't know what the hell he was saying or singing about. Maybe later on when he did a couple of tours he did, but in the beginning he didn't. Later he was replaced by English singing dude and his bandmates didn't know what the hell he was saying. Goes to show you managers will do anything to make money and how far will you go to sell out!

  • that first one to talk is hot!

  • Their pop song

  • @darkstar3x16 no...no...no...really...check out youtube clips of pre-loudness 1970's jackson 5 era loudness....akira in a tux dancing like michael jackson while singing pop songs...the band was called "Lazy"...disco

  • great!!!!!super rock

  • Can you beleive they played around the same time Shout at the Devil from Motley Cure came out? They sounded great! I can play those silly chords but at that time it sounded great@

  • Looks like my homophobic comments offended teabagger FREEMTRIDER. Everyone beware, there's a fag in the room. Don't drop the soap.

  • @fukinblowme Why would your homophobic comments offend anyone? We all know you like raping cats anyway LOL!!!

  • It never fails to amuse me that the song title is the one thing that's said in English. I guess song titles don't translate, do they?

  • im proud to have both thunder in the east and lightning strike cd....

  • I was listening to Motely Crue, the first motely crue when I heard these guys, damn I loved this shit!

  • I think you sent me a message to check this band out (even though I'm not a Hard Rock fan). I watched a few of their video's and they are diffently talented and are good enough to hold their own against most American bands back then! By the way I do like some Hard Rock bands like Boston, Foreigner, Aerosmith, Journey, and a few others. "I love the instrumental play, but can't stand screaming that I can't understand".

  • akira takasaki tou fucking shredd dude. we have a special place for you upthere with the greatest!

  • thx for sharing.. I was in middle school when the heavy metal era was alive. My older bros. were living it.. big hair iroc Z, grand nationals, monte carlos, 5.0 etc... so i grew up with all these heavy metal rock bands.. Love it..

  • japan is the like the guitar palyer's paradise..all the guitars you want in the world!! Loudness is awesome

  • minoru speaks as he sing, great song

  • Japan, You guys love Guitar based rock and roll. I would love to play Japan.

  • I just read like 60 comments, and I think 15 different people wrote "their most pop song"

  • those dudes shoulda done some push-ups before getting into that garb

  • Are you gay ?

  • why are you cruising for dudes online?

  • No, your comment suggests you're checking these dudes out wtf.

  • actually I was suggesting that they look like tards. sorry I kno theyre your favorite and all

  • Nice try, you were checking out their builds (and probably their butts too)...fag.

  • you are clearly hoping that I am gay, tho I am not. I don't think there is anything wrong with being gay, I am just sorry that I mislead you.

  • I am clearly calling you out as a faggot because you made a gay comment. You were hoping to see these guys pumped up...nuff said...fag.

  • just like the name of this horrible song, you must let it go. and by "it" I mean your repressed homosexual urges.

  • and Im pretty sure if I said 'yes' to your first question, youd be asking for my number instead of backtracking and pretending to talk sh!t.

  • That's wishful thinking on your part faggot. In fact, the only reason you're here is because you're a gay. If you don't like the band or the song then why are you checking out 80's videos ? Answer : Because you're a fairy who jacks off to dudes in spandex. You were busted, stop pretending to be half the man you are lmao.

  • sorry that answer is too long for me to bother responding to. you lost.

  • You might want to reconsider your last comment. You're the one putting cocks in your mouth. There's nothing lower than a cocksucker, not even a guy who fucks his friends mothers (that's a motherfucker). You're a cocksucker...man that's low.

  • I got worried I was gonna have to end this conversation, with the lameness of your previous comment and all, but looks like you're back in the game with this one. good job. welcome back. I took your advice and reconsidered my last comment and it actually still stands up pretty strong. If you like this band you're a 80s candy glam tard. hands down.

  • I'm a virtuoso musician who has a heathly respect for virtuoso musicianship. You're a teabagger (see urban dictionary).

  • assbagpipe virtuoso

  • oh wait...you're saying you actually like this band?? hahhaa sorry but thats worse than the shit you're making up about me haha

  • @fukinblowme Unless you are totally insecure with your sexuality, and it looks like you are with a screen name like "fukinblowme", there isn't anything wrong with commenting on guys or girls. You should get some professional help with your problem. lol

  • @FreeMTrider First of all my screen name has nothing whatsoever to do with sex. You're just too dumb and uncultured to understand it's meaning. Second of all, wtf are you talking about regarding my "commenting about guys or girls" ? Rather than scroll down and figure out where your mind malfunctioned and misunderstood something, I would prefer you attempt to explain your ignorance. If you can't, well then your just fuckin stupid. There's no help for stupidity lol.

  • @fukinblowme Quit trolling youtube and find something better to do.

  • @FreeMTrider you need help...trust me...and you would not like it if a doctor told you what you need.

  • 久し振りにこの曲を聞きましたが、やっぱり名曲ですね。海外の方の評価もよさそうで嬉しいです!

  • good show i love it

  • i remember cruisin in my car to this song...i'm 38 (80's rule)

  • i got that Rosetta stone Japanese teacher and i didn't understand a thing they said.

other than that i enjoyed the music.

1 other thing.... there aren't enough black and white stripped jumpsuits being made today..

  • so motherfuckin good

  • Comment removed

  • yeah that sounds awesome doesn't it, only thing is rock ain't about drugs, it's about the passion man, the joy, and that's why these guys sound so good, cause they ain't boosin' it up and gettin high, or wasted, they are serious, and that is what matters.

  • dude, what a pathetic thing to say

  • HAHAAHA lol thats funny cuz i know an asian guy and he always smells of weed ahahha

  • Great song by Loudness and it makes me think of all years passed since it came out. Good God!

  • This video proves how great they are and how little "production" they used in the studio. There was also another version of "Lightening strikes" CD, it was called "Shadows of War".

  • @notaname1234 Dude, good point. It sounds exactly like the record.

  • I dont care they are japanese, they are a good band, the originals were great.

  • AMEN TO THAT!

  • It's about talent, that's the most important thing.

  • @xj2yzz I think it's cooler than they're Japanese.

  • This is a 100% live performance. They sound really good. The Lightning Strikes album is a lost classic!

  • loves from istanbul to my oldiest friends...

  • Das ist gut, reminds me like a bit of Living After Midnight but different.

  • I wish I spoke Japanese so I could understand the interveiw.

  • This song I heard when I was 12 years old and now I'm 35 years old and still enjoying this song. I love heavy metal, I love Loudness..!!

  • Loudness is the best ever metal group of the 80's and today for most of us growing up in the 80's. R.I.P. Munetaka Higuchi

  • Whoa buddy, they are good and I have nothing but praise but there are many groups that should rank higher.

  • how did he die?

  • He passed away from liver cancer. He had been struggling with it since April.

    Rest in peace Munetaka.

  • It was liver cancer

  • Hey, if you die from liver cancer. It usually means you lived a pretty good life. Think about it.....R.I.P. Bro.

  • RIP Munetaka Higuchi

  • R.I.P Munetaka-What a GREAT drummer,ROCKSTAR AND LEGEND FOREVER !

  • most underrated band EVER....so much talent

  • Munetaka Higuchi was deceased on Nov. 30th 2008 10:44 am

    because of lever cancer....

  • FUCKIN' LOUDNESS!!! YES!!!!!

  • loudness rules!

  • Japanese King of Rock..

  • We used to drive my friends van on top of the biggest hill in Los Angeles called "Flat Top". All the Heavy Metal kids went there to party there every night in summer. We would pull the van up and pull out a 4x12 Marshall speaker cabinet and a 6x10 GK speaker cabinet with a 200 watt Gallien Kreuger Amplifier. Connected to a Alpine Car Stereo with Loudness cassette in the tape player. Everyone always asked "who is that" playing, haha. We were the coolest, the girls loved Loudness!

  • lucky you man, wish I was growing up in LA that time, we where listening to much heavy in Norway that time, and one of my favourites was Van Halen, and DLR. A born rockstar. We had our own heavy rock band but that place was sure not LA. We had that nice heavy rock feeling in the beginning of 80's, with many concerts, but LA was always my dream as a kid.

  • The environment that gave Van Halen their inspiration was The City of Pasadena, California. It was a wonderful place in the late seventies, early eighties, the music business was giant and there was a rock n roll feeling in the air. The radio stations knew it, the people knew it, rock n roll/heavy metal was king. I grew up next door to Pasadena and my friends would see Van Halen at backyard parties. I bought their first record and it changed my life. I remember the beautiful girls in Pasadena!

  • Akira soloing fantastic and as good as any rock metal players, but don't forget japanese people, Eddie Van Halen did it first! It doesn't matter who does it after it matters who did it first!

  • I remember these guys back in the 80's. I like them better now.

  • my friends hated me when i compared akira to eddie in solo excitement one album his solos are as good as anyone in rock--i will tell you by the way today's music sucks big time

  • holy smokes the singer sounds exactly the same live, awesome

  • This is a great song. Love the guitar behind the lyrical melody. Rock solid drummer!! Great stuff - where are they now?

  • These guys rock their asses off. I love the hooks in their songs. And Akira is a MASTER guitart player. Michelle, you were right: Loudness kicks ass!

  • They can speak English good

    and they're awesome!!!

  • Their most pop song

  • I had all of Loudness' albums and never saw them live. So, I will live vicariously through YouTube. HA!

  • they freaking rock...i hope they tour america soon

  • ret it go, mirky way, clazy night, clazy doctor, sraughterhouse, in the millor, rike heww, load lacer - Roudness -can anyone see a pattern here?
