I haven't done pretty much anything to this car, so it is practically stock. It already had limited slip differential when I bought it. Read the other comments. Use the 1st gear and keep the rpm around 4500 - 5500. Spinning takes a while to learn, but it's quite easy once you get the hang of it.
Not really, if you just remember to keep an eye on the tachometer. It should stay around 4500 - 5500 rpm. And you should not let the engine to overheat, so watch the thermometer too. I will not be responsible for any damage you do to your car ;)
En kyllä ite menis keskelle yleisöö laiskalla autollla jossa ei oo ees lukkoperää :)

@vwrasing Kyllä siinä on lukkoperä, Volvon alkuperäinen kitkalukko.

Awesome. But mine is 1988 240 B230K motor, and a standard differential (no LSD), very hard to drift, how?

juu kyl vapari 4:llakin pystyyy, ei mitään turboa tai v8:ia tarvita. tässä hyvä esimerkki ;)
dynamics92 4 years ago
Mine 240 also have the limited slip diffirential too, if not maybe it's just older version or DL model (mine is Turbo model).

Pretty impressive for a little Volvo, what's in it, a 350 chevy motor?
420buddzz 4 years ago
It is a stock Volvo 240 with the original B230F engine. That is a 2.3 litre four-cylinder engine. You really don't need a V8 engine for drifting...

I want to lend you my 240 DL Wagon. And watch you do that. :D
papuchongo 4 years ago
That is AMAZING! Mine is a 1989 DL what is yours GL? Just guessing by the wheels
irolliamvolvo 4 years ago
It is a GLE. The wheels (Draco) are not original for 240, I guess they are for Volvo 740.

hi if it is stock in what gear you do all of that? 1 or 2 gear?
williaxim 3 years ago
I did all that with 1st gear. Not enough torque to do that with 2nd gear :)
STN1983 3 years ago
there is no danger to blow up your engine?

Do you have a differential? I'have the same VOLVO 240 with B230F, but without diff :/ european model maybe?
djjjurgen 4 years ago
Looks like limited slip differential would be very suitable for this car
BXMASTER 4 years ago
It has the original Volvo / Dana 1031 differential. Which is a limited slip differential.
STN1983 4 years ago
I think you need more power, or drive with slicks?, that volvo is working TOO hard for the spinn.
djjjurgen 4 years ago
This is a stock Volvo 240 with a B230F engine... So yes, it needs more power! :)
