You can change it even if it is not full., The advantage is that the tube of plastic doesn't waste much by changing it for just a few diapers. I found that for medium size diapers (for 3 yr old) you can even have as much as 10 bunched up in there, before they start getting cramped. You'll know when it's full when you can't push another diaper down thru the flap, You'll also know when the blue plastic is coming to the end of the roll when you see a black line on the plastic
@dtaddonio Thanks for the fast reply, I'm looking for a way to cut down on the smell in the changing room in my business. I'm guessing we'd average 50-100 diaper changes a day in there so if I have an employee check it every 60-90 minutes it would be sufficient to have just one unit?
yes, I think that should be sufficient. What I imagine would be important for that number of diapers would be a good supply of the cartridges of plastic refills. I also spray the inside of the genie each time I empty it. The thing is not really about the storage, but about the advantage of wrapping the diapers up for disposal and taking them out of the genie, when ever they do smell too much, and not wasting a whole plastic bag each time. Throw wrapped diapers in trash bin outside
Thank you for posting this. Your close ups of the mechanisms helped me reassemble the innards of our Diaper Genie II after the 13-year-old brother handled it a little too roughly. (I washed my hands before posting my comments.)
How many diapers can you fit into these without having to change them?
