Guys look at the Last stand of the 300 or something like that(it's on youtube) . 10 parts of the battle of thermophylae, and there you can see the real formation of the greek "Phalanx" formation. They put 1 line of soldiers with their shields to protect and pike the enemy from their feets...and a second line that pike them from above. Another "Phalanx" formation is the shield wall with pike on their shield. Srry for my enghlish and nive video 5\5

And you are right, Macedon is completely different. It has good cavalry, longer phalanxes, but Greek Cities has stronger infantry, shorter but lethal phalanxes.

I said this as I saw the Greek banners in the video.

@Priyo866 Ye and i agree with you on that because greeks thought of Macidonians as Barbarians untill Philip Conquered them. Also the Macidon army is diffrent to Greek city states aswell. Macidon use Phalanx. Greeks use Hoplites... Macidonian Spear is 21-22 Ft long. Greeks is only 10-12 Ft
