  • Alexander was a Hellene. Not a Yugoslav like these people are!!!

  • bread bread please give us bread NO MORE BRICKS & MORTAR i accept bananas

  • I am Macedonian. Therefor I am Greek!!!

1/3 of FYROMorons live under poverty.

They even deny their Bulgarian heritage. They speak Bulgarian.

Alexander the great spread Hellenic culture throughout the known world of his time.

This fake country will be landlocked forever with no access to the true ancient region of Macedonia located in northern Greece.

    Skopje Vardarska is a joke.

Gipsies in search of an identity other than their own Bulgarian one!!!!!

  • @MrNMT69 you are correct, I am foreign from greece and "macedonia" but I know the truth as well, Alexander was a Hellen.

  • @MrNMT69 then why do we keep digging up artifacts from alexanders time in un-occupied macedonia! lol, its not our fault 500 million people would rather speak slavic then koine. who spread hellenism lol what r joke how may peole speak hellenic? just the turkish and albanian people of yunanistan, andthe rest were FORCED to change names and speak gypsy atina rubbish. leave macedonia alone why are you right and Macedonia wrong?! Yunanistan is a Bankrupt joke, u kuntry is oficially dead!!

  • 400 world famouse historians also writes

" the government in Skopje to understand that it cannot build a national identity at the expense of historic truth. Our common international society cannot survive when history is ignored, much less when history is fabricated."

  • What a sad country ashamed of their true slavic/Bulgarian roots

  • @petdou2 u r broke. every1 want to get out of HELL ASS, now we start to fuck u again. U r ashamed of ur turkish/albanian roots, who is your grandfather lol did he speak same like u today hhaha.

  • Claudio Lavanga...the journalist is a dirty italian. That said...

All this farsa with that fake country is going to end very soon.

  • Those are lovely statues of Greeks in Skopje.

    F.Y.R.O.M = Bulgarian J.O.K.E

  • If you the ppl of F.YugoSLAV.R.O.M. are descendants of Alexander, than you, my friends, are Greeks! Unite with us

  • Question: Was Alexander Greek or Slav?

  • @Eidwlolatrhs

Greek. Slavs didn't exist back in those days.

  • The Fyromians should go to a museum. Macedonia is one and it has always been Greek. No matter their propaganda no one will ever say that the ancient Macedonians like Alexander weren't Greeks. Simply because all the proof says it : I am Macedonian. Therefore, I am Greek.

  • If Macedonia and Greece could be friends along with the other Balkan countries imagine how great the Balkans can be, if they all work together.

  • The former Macedonian economic minster is a smart man, sayiny the money should go eles where, where it well help Macedonia. Why get into freaken Debt over a statue.I dont understand why this former economic minster isnt the current economic minster, he seems to care about his people.Yea and I am Greek and I care about people in Macedonia. Our countries should be friends, not have conflicts.

  • ha!ha!ha!ha!ha!ha!ha!ha!

  • Greek ppl are f**cking JEALOUS !

  • @kateprincessa 400 world famouse historians writes:

" The answers are clear: Alexander the Great was Greek, not Slavic, and Slavs and their language were nowhere near Alexander or his homeland until 1000 years later. This brings us back to the geographic area known in antiquity as Paionia. Why would the people who live there now call themselves Macedonians and their land Macedonia? "

    w w w . macedonia-evidence . org

  • @petdou2 i don't understand why do u even bother. who are you? an existing god? wtf man.. get a life and don't write comments that i won't read. :*

  • @kateprincessa That is the scary part. Fyrom has created an identity on pure political and historical propaganda. Now their people cant even read real historical facts from the real historians, musuems and universities because it is totally contradicting the propaganda they have been raised on.

They are ashamed of their real ancestors (Bulgarians like Tsar Samuil).

  • @petdou2 haha, BANKRUPT

  • university of skopje? this man should search in his family book and hell find out that he cuculovski ( this directly shows that hes slavic) bulgarian...tito brainwashed them all

  • Macedonia's wonderful! Skopje, Lake Matka, Bitola, the Church of the Mother of God in Veljusa, laid back people, great food, fabulous wine - especially "T'ga za Jug"...

  • aljazeera should change its name to almalakia and start eating some pork its good for you...

  • @vagelis888 Hate your neighbor. Jesus would be so disapointed. Or have you forgoten that the Slavs are the same Orthodox religion you espouse to be? Never mind, it looks like Orthodox Slavs have stooped to the same level of hating their neighbor as the Greeks. Nationalism is a wonderful tool for Satan your friend. None are Chritian here.

  • @kirekarevsk1 The ethnic hatred that created the wars in Yugoslavia are now exported to Europe/Eu.

Now we have former Bulgarians that pretends that they are ancient Greek Macedonians.

Will it be the same sad end as in Yugoslavia. Seems so when Fyroms ultra nationalist supress its people's real Bulgarian roots covered by political and historical propaganda. This propaganda creates hatred against neighbouring countries.

What is wrong with these slavic nations?

  • @petdou2 which planet do u come from?

  • y o u t ub e . c o m /watch?v=UpDvx2GlBE0&feature=related

  • MACEDONIA is rising.... VARDAR EGEJ PIRIN is UNITED MACEDONIA... Welcome home Alexander... Greeting from Bitola, Macedonia

  • " Ancient Macedonians were 100% Greeks. YOU FAIL BIG TIME SLAVOTATAR

  • Alexander the Great addressing the dead Hellenes in Chaeronea:"Holy shadows of the dead, I`m not to blame for your cruel and bitter fate, but the accursed rivalry which brought sister nations and brother people, to fight one another.I do not feel happy for this victory of mine.On the contrary, I would be glad brothers if I had all of you standing here next to me,since we are united by the same language the same blood and the same visions Quintus Curtius Rufus"Historia.

  • greeks feeling fear because at 1913,they occupied one part from Macedonia, and they know where that part from our land exactly and naturally belongs!

Macedonia has not any pretension, because that is occupied Macedonian territory, simple, you can not have pretension on your own territory!

    UNITED MACEDONIA

  • haha and what language did alexander speak? (yes, it's rhetorical question)

  • Mr Cuculovski is right. We Greeks should thank our Slavophone neighbors for building a statue to honor a great hero of Hellenism.

  • Epic drama and butthurt on both sides. Keep it up guys!

  • stupid greeks worrry about names while the turks take half of cypuss!!

  • Oh and Greece and israel should get together and send a rocket in that statue pooof gone !

  • I'm proud to be from thessolonikki. Good luck ever joint the EU now

  • Well, about what that "university professor" said, I believe that the way the Former Yugoslav Republic of "Macedonia" is behaving, if it's not irrational as he characterized Greece's, than theirs is a real paranoia. They live in a world with no rules, no real academic science as history. They think that if yell out loud they are "macedonians", everybody must bow down to them. Well, this will not happen. Identity stealing, be it even a step by step one is not allowed into a modern world.

  • I wonder why Greeks want Alexander the Great as their nation hero. After all, Alexander massacred tens of thousands of Greeks and destroyed Greeks democracy and independence. It sounds like Czechs to worship Adolf Hitler. It just doesn't make sense.

  • @mercedescl Cliche bulgarian propadanda debunked decades ago but still used by bulgarian youtubers, all the greek city states fought longstanding and fierce wars between them, and only united to fight external enemies, that was the norm. The city state of thebes and part of the athenian leadership rejected alexanders call for unity to invade asia and reach to persia.Thebes was a jewish stronghold and they influenced the athenian traitors, alexander eliminated both and headed for a vast Greek empire.

  • @neo19158 Lol. If you must twist history to hate Jews, I have nothing to say. But throughout history, only when New England bankers became a powerful force, Jews became the center of power for a moment. Jews are smart, but they never process the wealth and power to do all sort of fantasy conspiracies. There is no vast Greek empire. Greeks were conquered by the Macedonians as Phoenicians, Persians, and Egyptians.

  • @mercedescl who cares about jews stupid bulgar,SHOW THE FACTS GAYSKOPIAN GIVE ME THE LINKS OR THE REFERENCE from a western encyclopedia THAT STATES THAT GREEKS WERE CONQUERED BY THEIR OWN OR EGYPTIANS PERSIANS PHOENICIANS WHAT TOTAL NONSENCE GREEKS WERE ONLY CONQUERED BY THE ROMANS SO GET A EDUCATION LAY MAN NOW FUCK YOU BULGAR.THE GLORY OF GREECE IS WELL KNOWN AROUND THE WORLD.

  • @neo19158 You are funny. Every real history book in the world shows Philip II of Macedon crushed Greeks resistance and forced Greeks to subject to their rules. Macedonians were part of the Greek cultural circle, but they were northern invaders of the Corinth alliance, Athenians, or Thebes. The Greek world was conquered by the kingdom of Macedonia. Scots voted for the CW of England's monarchy and fought for the British in every single conflict, but they didn't claim the GB is their empire.

  • @mercedescl So the fyromian propaganda based an entire falsification in taking advantage of people's lack of knowledge, in creating step by step the impression that the Macedonians were something different, distant from the rest of the Greeks who after all were not conquered from Phillip but agreed in an alliance with him in uniting all the Greeks under his guidance against Persia after the battle of Chaeronia which was not the first civil war from the many civil conflicts the Greek Cities had.

  • @neo19158 Lol. One nation invaded a group of city states and held them hostages with spear to the throat is what I would call "conquered". In fact, before Amyntas, Macedonia was looked down as "barbarians" by her Southern "Greek" neighbors, because Macedonia never had the same citizenship system or the same form of monarchy as other Hellenistic states. Furthermore, an unified Greece is a very modern idea. League of Corinth and other succession of counter alliances existed throughout history.

  • @mercedesclTHE ANCIENT GREEK MACEDONIANS HAD A TRADITION IN FIGHTING TOGETHER WITH THEIR OTHER GREEK SISTER CITY STATES THESSALY AND EPIRUS WHO WERE KINGDOMS TOO.MACEDONS AND OTHER GREEKS WERE PORTRAYED BY THE ATHENIAN ARISTOCRACY AS BARBARIANS BECAUSE OF THEIR LIFESTYLE AND THE WAY THEY FOUGHT AND NOT BECAUSE OF THEIR ORIGIN .UPDATE YOUR FICTIONAL COMMIE PROPAGANDA OR FCUK OFF.

  • @neo19158 I just don't get it. Greek cities got sacked and Thebes got razed to the ground; the empire was forged by Alexander the Great in Macedonia banner. Alexander himself declared all people of his empire would be equal, only division is good and evil. Greek cities lost their independence until 1832, so what's the point of treating Alexander the Great as one of Greeks instead of who he really is: A MACEDONIAN? Will worshiping a foreign dictator and a mass murderer really make Greece better?

  • @mercedescl So the fyromian propaganda based an entire falsification in taking advantage of people's lack of knowledge, in creating step by step the impression that the Macedonians were something different, distant from the rest of the Greeks who after all were not conquered from Phillip but agreed in an alliance with him in uniting all the Greeks under his guidance against Persia after the battle of Chaeronia which was not the first civil war from the many civil conflicts the Greek Cities had.

  • I got this funny feeling that if we were to travel 2000 years into the future, the Greeks and Macedonians would still be arguing about this.

  • Τhe Greekness of Macedonia is selfevident. These people have no history and have co opted the history of bulgaria and greece, ethnically they are slavs tatars, gypsies and 40% of them are albanians. The land they live on is mostly ancient paeonia and only a small strech of land near the greek border can be considered as macedonia. The ultra nationalists in the midget states goverment have been agitating the Greeks for far too long and their patience can be running out.

  • The professor is right: why would Greeks bend out of shape, when they think SOMEONE ELSE is honoring a Greek by building a huge statue?

Fact is, the Macedonians in Macedonia has as much right to claim Alexander as one of their countryman as the Greeks.

During those days, people wandered around, just like today, to fight, to find peace, to find work, to find land, what-not.... but there's little solid record keeping, so within a few hundred mile radius, there's great mix of people/ethnics.

  • I though most of alexander the great's troops were spartans???

    aren't spartans greeks?

    anyways alexander is gay.hoho.

  • @Bander1 Alexander was Greek any history book states that clearly, spartans are greek and sparta was the only city state that did not unite with alexander to fight persia. Now in the ancient greek text there isnt a word about being gay or whatever.

  • @neo19158

Well its the GREEK STYLE...I hear the male teacher and student relationship is quite the craze LOL.

  • @Bander1 Stop crying lolita you might be gay but that doesnt apply to king Alexander of Greece.

  • Greece needs to stop worrying about other countries and start worrying about their own fucked up economy.

  • @kd5eej Your are stupid...believe me u are very stupid.

  • @ONIRONAUTIS Lol, you must be greek? UMADBRO? lol u mad.

  • Great Foe of the Greece?

  • There are more important things to worry about then this.

  • wtf where do the greeks get their history? alexander CONQUERED greece, he was from macedonia.

  • The greek got the statue to keep the muzzies in check!

  • alexander wasnt greek, he was macedonian :-|

  • @Koldness99 Alexander was Macedonian, but he DID speak Greek. Alexander was born in Pella, a ruined ancient city in the contemporary Greek province of Macedonia.

None of this matters because no one should actually care where someone who lived almost 2500 years ago lived.

  • Betcha Alexander never imagined this while he was buttfucking Bagoas.

  • This should not be news and the Greeks shouldnt care. It was over 2000 years ago, alot has changed including borders. People migrate, races mix, nations are united and separated.

  • Everything I've ever read of Alexanders origins said he was from Macedonia. But then again, who gives a shit.

  • @Solaris2291 yes, Macedonia the province of Greece, not that slavic shit hole you are thinking about.
