Not gonna lie guys, I checked one of these out with my prs singlecut 245 and was floored with the tone...... Credit, carvin has some good axes as well, I just prefer my prs. Anyways I really dig old randy Rhoads, or Vivian Campbell stuff (back when he was with dio on holy diver) and man this amp just let me open up so many doors. It really allows your guitar to breathe. Very true to the instrument plugged in. Everything from blues to metal and plenty of gain to boot. I don't thing I ever cranke
ok is the mic in the center of the cone? not good mic technique if so..should be at in from the edge of the VC... that may be the fizz u hear.. hard to believe they got that wrong.
@teleboytwo Mic placement is pretty subjective, and varies from dead centre to right at the edge. The centre does contribute to fizzy high end, but it's not "wrong".
@lampguy9400 No prob ... I guess if you like it rock on... Like EVH says "if it sounds good, it is good!" Just every engineer / FOH guy I ever knew r saw would not do it, And I would get "yelled" at ...move that &^%$# mic! :)
Carvin has come a long way! I remember seeing their catalogs throughout the 80's and 90's and always thought their products were lacking in design. The V3 & M series and most of their guitars now are really appealing. I live only a few miles from the factory. Think I'm gonna check them out again!
@gtrboy1 hey, guitar boy, you should become educated before saying dumb-ass comments. If you knew anything, you would know that Mr Page not only played Telecasters, Danelectros and twelve string acoustics but also recorded with these guitars too.
calm down @bz1bz1. i should specify. sorry. i know jimmy page played many models of guitar. however that zeppelin riff does not sound right with a single coil. kevin is a great player.
@lighteningboy no, a triple neck ukulele/mandolin/banjo with a dimebucker and a floyd rose for each one would be the most badass guitar on the planet. tele's will have to come in second.

hey, im just wondering if you can get more of a heavier sound out of this amp like you can from the normal v3. and what are the actual differences in sound between the v3 and the vemc?

Great video for starter tones with the V3MC! Just received the same amp yesterday (Python snakeskin). I bought this amp for my son and we're both extremely impressed and totally satisfied with the purchase. *thumbs up*

Cleans sound great, but the distortion is too fizzy for my tastes. Going to a Celestion V30 would make it sound a hell of a lot better.

@gtrboy1 Led Zeppelin 1 and parts of their other recordings were performed on a Telecaster, which is the most badass guitar on the planet

Like the clean can't get into the fizzy distortion sound.
Good video thou.
You guys should tweak the X100B into a 3 channel.
