I haven't seen this for years...didn't even know it was on YouTube (should've known better!) If you're at all interested, I put the soundtrack together - I believe that it was nominated for an award at the time (but didn't win!) Almost all of the sounds were wrung out of a JP8000 (which was brand new on the market then) in an afternoon at Amber's studios in London...halcyon days...!

For those who don't know:

The first of the ads was a fusion of Ryan's Daughter style old Irish countryside with the Yojimbo soundtrack and 7 samurai running into a pub, ordering bottles of Murphy's and downing them in a slick flairy style.

The second had this old asian dude who was attempting to join the samurai by performing loads of Shaolin-style quests but he fails to do the flairy bottle trick and is cursed to practice on a parsnip til the end of his days.

Then came this one.

Slick stuff.

this commercial is great. im sure its a rare find too. I love Production I.G.s stuff, thanks for sharing and helping to document and preserve great tidbits in animation history.

better quality is always better, but this quality is plenty good in my mind, compared to nothing.
