  • Interesting "video." Reminds me of Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" about 20 years later, and of some Beatles movies -- the humor.

  • Santana covered it.

  • if you like this song could you spare a minute to check out a cover to it that i did?

  • Didn't this song appear on Santana's Moonflower album from the '70's? Carlos may have covered it, I don't know, but it sounded remarkably close to this version!

  • cool that dudes playin an sg!

  • 0:52 :)

  • Killer!

  • there are alot of bands as good as the beatles in the 60s in britain. the beatles (and rollingstones, etc) r just lucky. im not a hater, i love the beatles but i think its true

  • @Devantium I agree there were so many good bands and it's great that you can still discover them today even if you weren't around then, The Beatles was not luck though they were just better and more consistent, can't think of another band with so many amazing songs.

  • @Devantium The Beatles got a bit lucky but at the end of the day you make your own luck don't you? There are a lot of bands from that time who made good songs but the Beatles kept the hits coming on a consistent basis unlike the rest.

  • @Devantium I wouldn't say that there are that many that are as good. The Beatles were so revolutionary, (pun intended) and the sheer volume of good music they produced dwarfs that of almost every other band in history. That being said, there ability to produce such radical music for so long may be due in part to their good fortune in becoming popular early on, and immensely so. It is true that many musically talented groups probably never got the attention they deserved because of the Beatles.

  • I really dig the Santana cover also \m/

  • Colin Blunestone...Rod Argent, so much talent

  • ill be listening to the zombies on the 23rd march

  • omg his voice is so soft

  • how many times have i replayed this? i think i lost count

  • This is fucking TALENT !!! too good

  • shes some sort of ninja

  • This song brings me back memories of Demon's Soul. How I miss that game. :(

  • かっけーな!

  • @dogmanDX kakke?

  • I knew her. She got me through the 60s.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • The Zombies, one of the best groups from the sixties!

  • ahh i thought this was Santana's

  • ha ha autin powers on bass funny

  • ....and Austin Powers on bass.

  • kill bill rulez

  • Braiinnnnnsssssssssss!

  • this video rocks!

  • i bet these guys are fucking British too... dammit america is losing

  • @theotherphoneguy apparently you never heard of "The British Invasion" started by the Beatles? which was followed by the "New Wave" later in the 70's... to which we owe you a debt which we can NEVER repay!

  • @KDMensch Everly Brothers actually "started" it, seeing as how one of the main influences the Beatles had were the Everly Brothers.

  • @Headstrong87 I agree but actually, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Del Shannon and others were far more important ("one of the") influences to the Beatles but the actual invasion was the Beatles themselves and to the Brits we owe the Rolling Stones, The Yard birds from whom came many (Led Zepplin), The small faces again, many (Rod Stewart), Herman's Hermits, Zombies, Cream...(many including Clapton)...Traffic and on and on and on....

  • @Headstrong87 I'd say Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran were more influencial than anyone

  • @PrimalStones If I may...yes, we could speculate and as well about all who are a part of the invasion such as The Who and the Animals, The Kinks, Jerry and The Pacemakers, Chad and Jeremy, Joe Cocker and so many that I could type for hours if I wanted to...Also the New Wave with Elvis Costello and the other new generation of Brits...

  • her voice was soft and cool, her eyes were clear and bright, but she's not there :(

  • 1.38, no bad statue either

  • 0:50 Eh... not bad, statue.

  • 179 reasons to use a condom

  • Comment removed

  • i guess 179 came home from work one day and she wasnt there

  • Love this song....and yeah she was there!!

  • Way ahead of their time, 2012 and we are still Jamming to this song.

  • this audio is the studio version, right?

  • @MrFibertiger Yeah for sure.

  • I like the oldies

  • i only came here cause i felt i was wearing out my vinyl copy

  • Yeah the Zombies were really cool. Good name for them because they had that slightly wierd thing going. They pioneered the gasp. And it's always great to see the straight looking guy with glasses -- every Brit invasion band had to have one. A much underrated band and great that they're still performing!!! Thanks for the video!

  • I saw Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent perform with a reconstituted Zombies in Sept. 2011 and they were awesome. Rod Argent is a fantastic keyboard player and Blunstone's voice gets better with time. Sting and Billy Joel claim this was their favorite group growing up. Classic 60's British rock. Beats the shit out of most of the shit coming out nowadays!!!!!!

  • bad edit and bad quality. And I'm talkin' about things you could've changed yourself.

  • Kill Bill!

  • couldnt avoid singing it!

  • the backup singer sounds like george harrison

  • NICE!

  • i wonder if they know about nazi zombies....

  • Dude, I knew this awesome song before it was used in Glee xD

  • looov<3

  • One of the greatest keyboard solos in pop history and the camera dorks out on the drummer. Bloody typical! signed Another Marginalised Keyboard Player

  • @jonnyDmay Aha! Just watched another version featuring one of the clips that Mitch used in his compilation above, and in which the keyboard player IS featured during the solo. So the cutaway to the drummer here is Mitchman's doing. :-)

  • @jonnyDmay Ha ha, the general public may ignore the keyboard players but the real musicians know how important they actually are, don't worry about that ;)

  • She is there.. I was 15 Fuck i'm old.

  • I've been listening to this song since it first came out and wonder...she's not there physically or mentally???

  • How am I only hearing this for the first time today?

  • Waaaay underrated and underaclaimed!!!

  • Every band with THE? This is nearly EVERY band!! :D

  • The Beatles

    The Rolling Stones

    The rest...

  • THE Rolling Stones

    THE Bee Gees

    THE Shoking Blues

    THE Ventures, ...:D

  • I like the Glee version better simply because it's in a lower octave.

  • This is such a great song with a super wonderful beat!!

Love U-Tube for bringing this on internet so we can enjoy the oldies!!!

    Tx

  • the rolling stones...

how can they not be on this page :p

  • I just love to see old video material like this. though shots of actual playing are scarce here.

  • @deathsebxxx I JUST WENT ON YOUR CHANNEL AND SAW A COUPLE OTHER COMMENTS YOUVE LEFT AND IT SEEMS LIKE YOU GOT SOME ANGER ISSUES. YOU TOLD ONE GUY TO "FUCK HIMSELF WITH HIS MOTHERS SEXTOYS"... ANYWAYS, I DIDNT SAY I WAS SMART, YOU THOUGH, SIR, ARE OBVIOUSLY DUMB. THANKS FOR REPLYING AND PROVING THAT YOU ARE AS STUPID AS I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT.... BTW, THERES NO 'A' IN SPEECH... BATCH.

  • @deathsebxxx if i could read half your mispelled words i might agree with you but until then... youre an idiot.

  • @rsallejr o and tell me were you found that comment id love to see it

  • @deathsebxxx did you see your comment? i replied so it should be easy to find... later hater.

  • @rsallejr What THE fuck is ur prob psycho! we’re just havin a bit of fun4 ChristSake! No1 evn contacted u ! Makin a fuss over a 3 letter word. All g8 bands dont start with the, but you know what does? The DickHead, The Psycho, The pathetic shit that has nothing better2 do then pick fights2 feel better about themself,The Prick this msg is directed2! And b4 u go&attack us take caps off, only meant to uses it at the start of sentences/name. Didn’t they teach you that in THE school u went2 ARSHOLE!

  • @sowutsurpoint Go back to school and learn to spell idiot

  • @bigguy4570 go fuck yourself fuckwit, it’s called short hand, this is you tube not a book report, get over yourself you pretentious prick !

  • @sowutsurpoint YOUR AN IDIOT

  • Capital letters! I appreciate the enthusiasm! Word of advice, before you attack someone on short hand, doing the whole “your an idiot” thing& telling someone to go back to school, YOU go back to school& learn YOUR grammar: You’re is you are (what you should have used) e.g. YOU’RE an arsehole. Didn’t they teach that in YOUR school? Now that you know that, I’ll even give you a free shot to insult, let me help you “you’re an.....” (YOUR turn , I don’t mind idiot, it’s an oldie but a goodie)

  • @sowutsurpoint Up yours

  • @bigguy4570 WOW a new insult & good grammar, I’m impressed! A for effort! Now before you go off & say that “effort” doesn’t have an A in it & tell me to “learn how to spell” in your newly acquired grammatical skills (you're welcome by the way) just know it’s a figure of speech. An idiom to be precise (learnt that in the same class as grammar & spelling)It's used in everyday language, kind of like short hand....oh wait that’s right, you don’t get that. Up for a lesson? You did so well in grammar.

  • @sowutsurpoint right!!!

  • @deathsebxxx thanks man, forget about the haters. Some people obviously miss the point of music and watching it on this site. They think that if they attack you and your comment, they must be right. Then they think making comments on spelling is a form of superiority. Like I said b4 it’s you tube not a book report. Anyone who seeks out someone to fight with obviously leads a very sad and unfulfilled life.

  • @sowutsurpoint jajaaja! there´s so many shit around....

  • @MrThePeaches say that again

  • @sowutsurpoint true dood thanks for understanding man

  • @deathsebxxx The who ;)

  • I always thought they were the edgiest of the British invasion bands, with the slightly psychotic look and the bookwormish guy with glasses which became a Brit band cliche - Peter and Gordon, Manfred Mann - inspiration for Austin Powers.Wonderful song, great band.

  • They mean she's not there mentally.

  • im 19 and this takes me back to my childhood :) i love my parents

  • @turnsout689 i agree 100% gotta love the oldies!

  • If you look at 1:27, you can clearly see that she's behind them!

  • @dmatcham1

you're right. typical women! get everywhere! lol

  • haha, tv must've been so much funnier back then, than how it is today :p. That girl probably had to lie down in the sofa a whole gig long, or standing next to the drummer : )

  • A Top 5 hit for The Zombies in the fall of 1964.

  • I like this and i'm an 4 week Embro.

  • Guys. @NSA666999 is a known troll. Just ignore him.

  • Why didn't the whole world recognize the importance of this band?! They are by far more creative than The Beatles or Beach Boys and more innovative too.

  • Why isn't rock and roll music made like his today? Real singing, real instrument playing, real harmonizing. Most pop/rock music of today makes me wanna commit suicide, it sounds so gross.

  • :)

  • THIS WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN AND PERFORMED BY JUSTIN BIEBER, I SAW HIM SING IT LAST YEAR AT TEENFEST. DONT KNOW WHO THIS ZOBIE COVER BAND IS , BUT THEY SING IT ALL WRONG YO YO YO

  • @NSA666999 what da fuck you talkin bout? justin beiber bull shit fuck him. The zombies originally wrote this song you fuck head

  • @NSA666999 FAGGOTRY DETECTED. FIRING ORBITAL CANNON.

  • @NSA666999

    Trololololol

  • @NSA666999 Are you fucking kiddin' me?

  • @NSA666999 bad troll

  • "Maybe she's not there, but they are here and they're The Zombies!"

  • You gotta love how bands back then bowed after their song.

  • Who killed music? Why can't anyone achieve this amount of amazingness now a' days?

  • lembra disso

  • great band...and i love Argent too,hehe

  • back when music was pure. no trends, no mtv, no here today gone tommorow mentality, no moshpits, no fashion statements, no annoying screaming. just music for the sake of making fucking music.

  • @DetSomEngangVar93 agreed! what happened to music like this?

  • @emilyrose311 our current crybaby generation needs a NEW idol every 6 months. i swere, i think my middle school aged sister changes her "favorite" boy band more than she does clothes lol

  • the bass line 0:48 !!! awesome

  • I've seen similar girls in Belgravia and Knightsbridge, where the prettiest girls in London are. Each one is a goddess.

  • Love Santana's version of this

  • @thelifeofgonzo , me both :))

  • wish music like this was still made

  • Saw them live at The Cobana cofffee bar Harrogate 1964 ace !!!

  • Can't believe I've never heard of this band....

  • @DexterHaven49

She's Dead, the song is about a girl who died, not very cheerful but still a great song... and yes a cool band name aswell :)

  • @MRbubbalooable for real, thanks for that

  • 0:53 - ha ha! Love this song. Always puts me in a great mood!

  • Great name for a band. Ahead of it's time.

If she's not there, where is she?

  • To wetpurplepaint... These guys are still doing the gig scene. I saw them last year at Rheola Festival South Wales... It was amazing, they did this, time of the season and a few others!
