I met her after seeing "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" and she honestly couldnt have been nicer. She took a picture with everyone who asked and signed everyones playbill. What a nice, sweet lady.

I saw her in Sunset Boulevard in London in 1993 - she was awesome! She filled every pore of that theatre. That voice - never heard anything like it in all the musicals I saw. She's a Diva - but when you're that good it's okay.

This video was so amazing!! Thank you for posting.  I saw Patti on T.V. in a production of Candide when I was seven and I have loved her ever since. She is truely incredible and a wonderful insperation.

Thank you very much for posting this. A wonderful proof to what a talented and versatile actress and singer Patti is. There was a time when shows were written especially for people like her. And she is so right about a proper training an actor must have to be at his/her very best; something that is forgotten too often nowadays. Its a shame they didnt use any clips of her as Norma Desmond during her run in Sunset Boulevard in London. She remains my favourite Norma.

This entire video just fills me up with utter joy. Is it weird to say that I'm proud of her? Patti has made this incredible life and career for herself (with help and opportunities along the way, of course), but her pure talent and truly glorious nature still stand.
