Thank You for your Gallant Service to our country and God Bless You, Mr.Rubin! I am Proud to have been born and raised in the country you so Bravely fought to defend!
I'm a gamer and this is the kind of depth I see and like to see in video games and how much it breaks my heart to see how much they sacrificed. To the men and women who never returned home and to those still far away from home--safe journeys.
After 55 years, those men never forgot him and what he did for them. Brothers in arms. My salute to you sir. Alabama B Co. 2/1 196th LIB 23rd Div RVN 1970-71
people doubt our army's cause in iraq and afghanistan, but these men were called upon and t hey went, fighting for freedom for other countries which they knew little aboout, but they served exceptionally for others, they did their job, and did it well. True heroes, not just American heroes, but heroes of the world for freedom...he didnt do it for medals as it said..he did it for his brothers. point blank.
He spends 3 years in a German concentration camp, comes to the US to serve in our military to thank us for liberating him and it takes 55 yrs to give him the CMOH! That is so wrong, but I am glad he was finally honored as the hero he is!
WOW! This is a true hero! They don't make soldiers like this anymore. Though every soldier deserves our thanks and respect, they just don't make soldier like this..
@sailorsgirl1981 I am going to have to refute this. The circumstances for today are different but no less arduous. The defining question to ask is if the soldier of now will lay down his or her life to defend the country and protect his or her comrades. For examples of very common uncommon valor read the book Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell. Also, read the book or watch the movie Black Hawk Down and pay attention the part where the two Delta snipers went into harms way to save a downed pilot.
This man is harder than wood pecker lips!! 24hrs by himself against an entire Chinese Division. Whoa.... I'll take bet's he has 3 Testicle's!!!
