Classic American inauthentic Mexican food. Complete with the ground beef in the burritos. Sometimes I gotta have it, especially when the only others in town are the "yuppie version" Mexican places. Authentic Mexican I live for, sure. But then I've eaten so many versions, I crave the sloppy gringo stuff too sometimes.

@bordaz1 I'm in Northern CA, a Southern California transplant, who grew up eating wet burritos, knowing they were Mexican American and not authentic Mexican, but who cared? I'll tell you, I moved up north, and they are JUST NOW starting to make wet burritos (or Mojado as they call it, cute, huh?) and they just don't get it right. We have the everything but the kitchen sink "Mission Style" burritos here, and it's just not as good IMHO. Anyway, yeah, Chile Verde all day everyday, I say.

I live 1 block away from this place. It's not that good. It's only open from like 6a.m. to 1 p.m. It's greasy hangover food. I end up with a bad case of explosive diarrhea everytime I eat there.

That owner chef dude died recently.
