Gojira may not be as 'Technical" as those bands but they sure as hell do different things with their music than Nile or Decapitated has done, and the same goes for them. I personally cant listen to Nile respect them greatly but the vocalist bothers me. And they tune way dif

For example, the intro to Rational Gaze takes no talent at all- but it follows no exacted pattern, and thus you can only play it if you literally know the song inside and out. I love Meshuggah, but I would not say they are "Godly" in terms of talent. Just technicality.

@generalten To be honest this is the first song of 'em I've listened to. I quite like the verse riff, but apart from that it is pretty standard and uninteresting at least for my ears. Too many repeatings, breakdown riff is cool again and then.... standard triplets. But since I've discovered Meshuggah, I couldn't listen to linear metal/ music anymore until I've discovered Hevy Devy. I like stuff that is unique and in my opinion this is not. No offense meant. But I'll check their other songs.

Gojira has been my favourite band ever since I 'discovered' them, thanks to Max Cavalera, when he formed CC and signed Joe Duplantier for the bass. I remember Max strongly recomending them, saying he listened to Gojira a lot because of lyrics and musical brutality. Then in the Global Metal CD, with the song 'From the Sky', I realized there was something really big I was missing... I've never been so into a band for so long, never stopping listening to them (almost two years now)
