@themaritimeman No, actually the batteries are replicas. There's just a standard PP3 in there, sitting on a little wood platform within the PP6 cover.

They're standard 246 batteries--each of them are nine volts. They have the standard 9v snaps on them.
I am surprised the leather isnt cracked, it is obvously built after the late 50's there is a PCB

Probably mid to late 50's because I've seen radios with PCB fro that era too even tube sets.
